GT should be getting the ball to Dwyer and their halfbacks more on straight hand-offs. Maybe mix in some play action. The Iowa secondary is playing right up on the line every play so the option just isn't there. Might as well try something different. Or don't, you know. Whatever.
GT moving the ball on the opening drive of the second half. All run plays, but they're starting to actually get positive plays out of the tosses and option plays to the outside. They'd really be screwed if they fell behind late. Nesbitt just is not a threat to throw, because he has very little accuracy.
WRs are getting better chops against the CBs and they're letting Dwyer take the pitch instead of the dive. I like it. Too bad that HB pitch was whistled dead. I get the feeling that that play could have been something big there.
Charles Davis: "This is what Paul Johnson does. It's either field goal now or go for it." Thank you, dumbass. It's from the friggin' 23. What other option is there? Punt? Anyway, they kick and miss.
Ugh, what a waste of the opening possession. Scott Blair is just not that good outside 40 yards and Paul knows that....I think he's a little nervous on the big stage, if this were the regular season GT would have gone for that 4th down play
Looks like they're following up a long GT drive with one of their own....this is how Tech gets into real trouble
And GT's offense finally punches one in, attacking the edges instead of relying on the dive. Great adjustment this half by GT
