There are probably people on a Bengals or Packers or Broncos message board saying "if you think we hired a bad coach, check out what the Jets did"
Another reason I like this hire is not only is Gase a experienced coach but he's not one of these guys like McCarthy would've been it would've felt like he's already peaked in his career and is only here trying to regain past glory. There's upside with Gase. It could be the best is yet to come for him HERE he could make his mark HERE grow with Darnold, Adams and co. I'm excited abouf this hire. We'll see how it goes.
And not for nothing, but who is the genius that thought "Fanbase goes WTF" as the title on theganggreen.com, was a solid piece of writing? There could have been many other ways to write that in a more imaginative way lol
Plus side to Adam Gase is he will cut/trade your ass if you think you can do whatever you want. I fully expect a few players (namely Trumaine Johnson) to be walking a very very fine line. We surely will become a more disciplined team and the intensity will be way better than what it was with Bowles. I'll say this, is Gase a better coach than Bowles? Absolutely, no question, I just need to see the results to fully buy in given that he was really not high on my list
Agree. Having Gase will put guys like Johnson and Williams in check. Perform or get out. Somehting I think this team desperately needed
SNY1m Dowell Loggains—thought to be the Jets' next OC—will be interviewing for the Dolphins' vacant head coaching vacancy, according to @RapSheet I suppose it could be worse.
Because Jets fan hates this hire, he'll probably work out. There's my optimism. Jets fans for the most part loved the Bowles hire and we all knew how that worked out.
Agreed, but if Gase can't get what he wants ,then we will be in for a rough season. Gase strikes me as being the kinda coach that doesn't give a shit about what others want or think. If he wants/doesn't want a player, he'll make it happen one way or another. If maccagnan wants to be the road block in the road, then I'm weary of what's to come
I’m not pretending like he gives two shits about what I think so I don’t know that this sentiment really applies here.
No, we need to maintain the SOJ mentality and root for failure in the hopes that the next one is better for us, because that always works.
Colin Cowherd has been pushing the Darnold good Baker bad agenda ever since before the draft. Don't for a minute think Colin believes what he's saying. It's all a ploy for ratings.
I am descending my mountain of disgust over Mr. gase IMO Cowherd makes some decent points and now moving toward acceptance wiait and see plus hope for the best...Is he a Great coach in the making? Wins and playoff appearances are what matter whats interesting will be the dynamic between MM CJ and this dude who is described as arrogant lol look forward to some hot questions answered at presser...see waht he says
This is all bullshit driven by the human nature need to feel optimism (to fight , to live another day) Anyone remember the Optimism with Herm and Chad - the accurate noodle arm and rah rah coach? Surely we had the winning mix! How about that Mangenious optimism after we knew he had all the Pats magic moves and secret sauce to success!!!!!! Or the Rex optimism? Son of Buddy Ryan who was on Jets staff in SB3!!! Defensive genius! Surely special!!! This is all fucking bull shit. Bull fucking Shit, served up on human emotion plates, eaten up by fans. I’ll believe the GaseHole Magic when I see it. Not buying any of it in advance. Not rooting against Adam. Just not buying into anything the Jets are selling until further notice. Fuck them
