come to think of it Lamont and Leon wouldve been a pretty formidable duo in the backfield.

Favorable. He was pretty good for us, and did get a raw deal with Herm as coach. Some of his comments bothered me, but the Jets did their best to screw him over, so I see where he was coming from.

I am down the middle on him. He helped us but he never had his chance to shine since Curtis never slowed down.

I think that's BS... There were plenty of times where Jordan should have gotten the ball more (either cuz Jordan was a better matchup or Martin was dinged).

And in the end Curtis may have lasted a little longer if they played it right.....

So Curtis hurting his knee in 2005 had something to do w/ Lamont not getting enough carries the previous 4 years? I know it was all Herm's fault even though he was used ALOT more uner Parcells.

Maybe because hes not a worker. Hell, he even admitted to not studying blocking formations....a running back, not studying blocking formations..

He was good. To me he was slightly below a feature back and well above a run of the mill back up. Middle of the Road running backs are a dime a dozen. and their career lasts for like 4 years.

I have a very favorable opinion of Lamont Jordan and I don't see how anyone would not. He was an excellent backup running back to Curtis and provided many good carries in the time he was here.

He went for the money and to be a starter I guess it's bad for someone who wants to start to leave to become a starter. He suppose to know that C-Martin would get hurt and he could step in.

actually he nursed other injuries in the time jordan was here. there was the year where he had severely sprained ankles and herm fed him the ball constantly and he still racked up like 1350 yards.

i think herm is alright but im glad hes gone. so im not going to bash herm junc, but one glaring mistake he did make was not play LaMont Jordan enough. even at his weight he had more burst than Martin and was liable to make a big play. attribute it to martin wearing on a D or just the line. either way Jordan deserved more carries.

and how anyone could have an unfavorable opinion of him is beyond me. he made plays and there was no slowdown in production when jordan came in. i also remember him breaking a huge run on the raiders to help get us in the playoffs (may be wrong)

yeah he left for the money, why? cuz he knew they had no intention of playing him. when u get a chance as a player elsewhere and a organization is FULLY committed to the player in front of you, you take your payday and hope for the best.

I voted favorable. It's a shame he didn't get to run the ball more when he was here, and I understood why we let him go, but he was good when he was here. The team was good and he made a positive impact when he did get to play. Can't fault him for things he couldn't control.
