I started watching games in 76 with my father...go figure I feel for my dad he is in his late 70s (78)and having to put up with hot mess
put it on twitter. tag new york sports personalities and the jets. i guarantee you it will be in the thousands in the next few days.
you do realize people were born in different years and decades and his life long is just as long to him as your life long is to you?
it was just a shit post, i could come on here and tell the guy oh yeah well ive been suffering since the early 80s, it doesnt make his suffering any less.
How does it feel to be the last living Jet homer.... History says they're gonna fuck up the rebuild just like all the other rebuilds. In fact, they're in the process of tearing down the rebuild so they can rebuild... Again..
I went my first Jet game in 1965. Actually, I had dinner with a former Jet the other night and am related to another. They have no patience with a rebuild. Old as I am I want the club to do it right this time and stick with the program. Maybe I live long enough to see another SB.
We're about the same age so I'm with that group that has very little patience for another lo>>>>>>>>>>>>>>ng rebuild. We MIGHT live long enough to see another Jet SB or we might be like those legions of Chicago Cub fans that didn't over the decades.
have been a jets fan since i was 7 years old, i am now 64 i have stuck with this team through thick and thin, (mostly thin) and the culture and ineptitude has NEVER been worse IMO . we have wasted so many good players over the years, Gase must go and i mean NOW and i hate to say it but am coming around to the side that the johnsons must go too. i have loved this team since 1965 but it is getting really FUCKING hard to watch this team play.
the crazy part is that it seems like they are just gutting the team, left with no talent in order to rebuild... how long is that going to take? lets just say they do get the qb they are looking for, its going to take a few years to rebuild the cast around him. there is so little there that i can see still being there in the future. yet we drafted 1 wr last year. let our deep threat go and then got rid of what are probably the best player on offense (i know he hasnt been but i am confident he will bein kc) and one of the best players in the league on defense. i just dont see how this is going to work out, the new qb will be heading into his decision years and looking to hopefully get paid big money before they can put a team around him. and then its much harder to put a team around him. i have little faith at this point.
For me the downward spiral of my Jets experience started with the PSL. Frankly A Jets season ticket and PSL has zero dollar value due to zero entertainment value.
Been going to games since Shea. We gave up our seasons after experiencing Met Life..it's awful and was just a pre-cursor to where we are now. It's no longer fun being a Jets fan. They're not even somewhat entertaining. Games are over 5 minutes in. As bad as the Kotite era was...they were still entertaining to watch! Yeah...I'll still watch every game, but most of my family and friends have all jumped ship. So many people I know stopped watching football in general, it's weird.. What I won't do, is buy another piece of Jet merchandise. Not until the Johnsons are gone. Fuck those silver spoon, know nothing douchebags. And I just read the article in the Post where even if we get #1 this year, Trevor Lawrence would likely stay in school like Manning did to us. Fucking Jets..
