I've been wanting to say this for quite some time now (since Buffalo's week 17 loss) but come 1:00 tomorrow; it's NFL kickoff time for our N.Y Jets of 2016. 1:00 tomorrow can't come soon enough, in the meantime it's college football time today. About to place an 8 team parlay & see if I can get lucky. Also tomorrow is setup nice for us as a fan base. If we can take care of Cincinnati at home, we'll then be able to (actually) enjoy both the Seahawks slaughtering Miami in Seattle @ 4:05 followed by the Cardinals destroying N.E (without Brady/Gronkowski/Ninkovich) in Arizona come 8:30. Nothing like football season.
I wish Sheldon was playing for obvious reasons, but more so because I want to scare the shit out of the league right out of the gate. I want to establish the kind of hard-hitting defense we are planning on being. I hesitate to say fast-paced because we haven't seen it yet, but with Lee and Pryor running around laying wood, Mauldin a year older and wiser, and Pace being GONE finally, I think we are going to be pleasantly surprised at the pace our D plays at
Harris questionable. http://www.newyorkjets.com/news/art...tionable/113cc28b-fba8-4636-b072-622ce9b00c24
The best news about this is that "probable" no longer exists as a classification. So if he's listed at all, questionable is what we want. Are shoulders important for inside linebackers?
I'd really hate to be without David Harris especially with Richardson being out. With rookie Jordan Jenkins being doubtful we could be without 3 of our defensive starters come tomorrow.
I too desperately want Harris in there to anchor our new-look D on opening day... Until I think about tackling with a jacked-up shoulder. Then I start to quietly weep.
lol yes, but only the shoulder he's hitting with. That's why God gave linebackers have two shoulders, in case one is sore, they can hit with the other. Get the fuck back out there and hit someone!!!!!!
Good point! But then again, I think it's his right shoulder. That's the one he landed on, and the one he usually leads with. I think. Am I thinking too hard about this? Hell, if it's really just "bruised" and "sore," I have a hard time imagining 52 saying he can't go.
The silver lining for Richardson being out, is that he'll be freshest guy on the field Thursday night. I expect him to have a monster game. In fact, I also think it's better for us is Harris sits out tomorrow too. As psyched as I am for tomorrow, the division game is more important.
Hopefully, you'll feel much better after his replacement, Lawrence Thomas, racks up one or two sacks and blocks one of Dalton's pass attempts in addition to Mo and Leo combining for 3-4 sacks between them not to mention the three of them plus Mac stuffing the running game.
On Friday he was asked if this was the worst he ever felt the Friday before a game and he said "It's up there." That being said, if it is just pain and nothing structural I would expect he is at least going to get out there and see how it goes.
Just means Br*dy will now appear as Questionable rather than Probable every week. The amount of leeway they gave to the definition of Questionable and Doubtful, i think the P*ts will end up being even more deceptive with the injury report than before. bad change imo, as it's not going to achieve the desired result.
Yeah, you could tell he was hurting. He said he thought his collar bone was broken when he sustained the injury, thought it was a bad injury. Harris may play. Jenkins I wouldn't count on tho. Like someone else said, being ready for Buffalo on a short week is a consideration.
