Yeah let's find an upset picture of every other coach and put 8-8, but then post a picture of Rex smiling and put 8-8. Makes tons of sense.

I could easily remake this with every coach smiling and Rex pissed off. Will that be better for you?

2014 is going to be horrific? What's going to happen to make my 2014 so horrifc gus?

Sorry if I'm not impressed by the Jets celebrating 8-8 like they won the superbowl.

You seem to not see the bigger picture. Going 8-8 isn't impressive as a record itself. What's impressive is the fact that we achieved that with an anemic roster and a projection of only winning 3 games by almost every sports writer. Granted, they are usually full of shit, but no one expected us to be sitting at 8-8 by the end of the season.

If you don't see how this is impressive, then you truly are clueless. Even with two afc championships, this is arguably Rex Ryans greatest year of coaching. You just like to find some bullshit reason to hate on him and this team whenever you get the chance. Get over the same old jets bullshit.

The celebration was a bit much but that was on the players and out of all the coaches you had in your silly little 8-8 montage Rex was the only one with a rookie starting at the QB position, we understand you have an agenda but at least be fair if your going to criticize Rex.

The celebration was ridiculous no matter how you want to spin it. How embarrassing that our team celebrates going 8-8.

An agenda? LMFAO! What am I running for political office now? That's hilarious.

You're the one not getting it bud. I picked the Jets to go 8-8 at the beginning of the season.

I don't find it impressive that they went 8-8 but that's hardly the point. Your idea of what is supposed to impress people is hardly the gospel so save your bullshit about me being clueless.

The fact that they celebrated 8-8 like a championship is the ridiculous part.

The celebration was by the PLAYERS we going to blame Rex for that now, the players love Rex enough to celebrate like that knowing they might have saved his job. Showing him in a picture with other 8-8 coaches(who have established QB's by the way) and he's the only one smiling? What exactly are you trying to do with that?

I'm not sure why it has to be about blaming Rex for anything. I thought the picture was funny so I posted it. If you're cool with the Jets (a team run by Rex) celebrating 8-8 that's fine, I just find it silly and embarrassing.

No other team celebrates 8-8. Ever.

I apologize if I hurt your feelings.

    that pic is bullshit

we were the only one of those teams that had no shot at the playoffs going into week 17 ... the players knew the only things they were playing for were their jobs, rexs job, and to end a rivals season

the steelers were ecstatic after their win brought them to an 8-8 record because it kept them alive in the playoff hunt ... and if it werent for some bs calls in the chiefs-chargers game they would have been in the tournament and celebrating more than the jets were

the rest of those teams were 8-7 with what turned out to be win and theyre in scenarios and they lost ... why the fuck would they celebrate that?

No just ask the 69 NYJs after they lost to KC in the PO game & it took them some many years to return to the POs with JWN at the helm.

You can dream all U want but until we get a franchise QB we will be treading water IMHO

It wasn't about celebrating this year it was about celebrating the future, even the players were saying it after the game, we ended the season winning 3 out of 4 games with our young players improving drastically. The players wanted Rex back to be apart of the growth and now he has to make the playoffs or he's out. It's funny that you put the Steelers in the picture considering they almost made the damn playoffs at 8-8 and would have been celebrating like crazy at 8-8.

FTR, I did not make the picture. And the Steelers didn't make the playoffs, so their's that. I see though - if you happen to be an 8-8 team that made the playoffs, sure there's reason to celebrate. So there are rare exceptions.

The collage you posted is a mis-informed dig at Rex and the Jets. They are not celebrating going 8 - 8, it was for the win over the Dolphins.

2014 , things can only get better right?

If Rex fails next season and by that does not make the POs I'm 99% sure he'll be gone and be snapped up in seconds by another team.

To be fair, those other teams were competing for a playoffs spot in week 17, the Jets were not as they had already been eliminated. The Jets also were able to eliminate a division rival from the playoffs and put a frown on one of the other coaches faces.

I understand you didn't make it, but it is not a great picture, especially since almost all of them lost in week 17. I'm sure Houston would have been happy if they had actually won a game in week 17.

That doesn't explain how 2014 will be horrific for me?

I also celebrated the win over the Fins. Gatorade showers should be saved for something more meaningful, IMO.
