The throw wasn't bad but that was a near impossible catch. He put it in a good spot where it couldn't be picked but that was a near impossible catch. It was btw 2 defenders and Wayne got leveled as he was trying to ctach the ball.

I am beginning to understand why you never blame Peyton, he can do no wrong. Every pass is perfect, they just lose by coincidence every January.

The difference between you and me, is I understand football is a team game where there are a lot of things going on each and every play the cause the play / game to be successful or not, and you assume it's all on one person that drives the results whether positively or negatively.

The pass to Wayne was in his hands until it was jarred loose by the hit from McCree.

The difference btw you and me is I don't make excuses for peyton when things go poorly and shower him w/ praise when things go well.

That pass to Wayne was a good pass but a bad decisions as it was a near impossible catch but you just see a good pass and you think he did his job. His job is to win and he has a losing record in postseason.

It was also another example of Peyton looking for too much, instead of getting the 1st down and moving the chains he took a chance downfield and it backfired.

Looking for too much? They needed to get the ball down field. They needed a TD not a FG

It was not a near impossible catch. It was in his hands, McCree just made a perfect hit. But the stat sheet / play by play will not tell you that so that means it must have been Manning's fault

You have to move the chains though, they aren't throwing a 60 yd TD in that situation. Thed had 1 and 1/2 mins and 1 TO, plenty of time to score but in gaining 5 yds they used 30 secs- awful clock mgmt.

You try catching that ball at that angle btw 2 defenders w/ the defender behind setting you up for a big hit. That would have been the catch of the decade if he held on. It was a great throw but that's not the type of risk you take on 3rd and 5.

The stat sheet told you he had a 90+ rating so you think he was good. He throws a ball high it gets picked but it was a great play by the defender, he thorws it high and hard to a seldom used RB but it was the RBs fault, he throws a nice pass but to a spot that was near impossible for his WR to catch but he did his job b/c it was a good throw. He can do no wrong in your eyes- why does he had a losing record in postseason and why does he lead his O to less than 14 PPG in their playoff losses?

that wasn't an attempt at a 60 yard TD. If you watched the game you would know that. They did not have 1 and half minutes at the time of that play. Again You should watch the games.

it would not have been the catch of the decade. A other junc exaggeration.

when did I mention his 90 qb rating or whatever it was? Please go find my post. Otherwise you are lying.

    That proves it. Thread over.

They didn't have it at the time of that play but they had 1:30 to play when they got the ball 2 downs earlier and 5 yards back. he wasted :30 secs to pick up 5 yds then when he needed 5 yards to keep the game alive he was busy throwing 30-40 yds downfield- again great throw but a bad decision as that was a near impossible catch for the WR.

Why even discuss this anymore? To you everything bad that happens is someone else's fault and everything good that happens is b/c of the great Peyton. At the end of the day it's a results business and in postseason his results are not good.

You brought it up for Favre: http://forums.theganggreen.com/showpost.php?p=1481687&postcount=97

You may or may not have brougn it up in this thread but in the big Brady-Manning debate we had:

    http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=47258

What is funny is going back and looking at this current thread seeing you so many times criticize Brady for only leading his team to 14 pts in the SB against the Giants yet you completely ignore the fact that in Manning's 8 playoff losses he has led his O to an AVERAGE of UNDER 14 PPG.

I'm not surprised you still don't get it.

He was busy throwing 30-40 yds downfield? He didn't throw one pass 30-40 yards downfield.

You're right. Why even discuss it anymore. You only can recite the Play by play sheet and stat sheet. You have no clue as to what happened on the plays so you blindly blame Manning for everything.

I brought up Favre's accomplishments and that they are much better than a majority of other HOF QBs. That had nothing to do with any specific game and had nothing to do with Manning. Why mention it here?

I only bring up that Brady led the Pats to only 14 points because you make it out to be that Brady was this great savior for them, when he failed them. Exactly what you do when you mention Manning's 8 p/o losses. What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

I understand it's a team game but you act like Peyton has the '08 Lions around him.

The bottom line is he has had talent around him capable of at least reaching multiple SBs and he hasn't done that. The biggest difference btw NE and Indy this decade has been the QB play in January, it's not a coinicdence the one time Manning outplayed Brady his team finally won.

You can keep saying over and over about reciting the play by play sheet but that doesn't help all your weak excuses especially when the vidoes are available online and it's easy to view. All you do is make excuses for Peyton.

I don't blindly blame anyone, Peyton has played poorly in January- that's a fact but you see great ratings and assume he was great then you make excuses such as the receiver should have caught it or the D did this or the running game did that, blach, blah, blah...

So when will you acknowledge that peyton has led his high powere O's to LESS than 14 PPG in their playoff losses?

When will you acknowledge that Brady set his D up w/ the lead in the final mins and they blew something Peyton has NEVER done in a playoff loss.

keep those excuses rolling. Can you do me a favor and give me the excuses for the other 7 playoff losses too?

So you admit you make blind assumptions then rush to the online videos and try to force incorrect observations on everyone else. Wonderful.

Yes, you do blindly blame Manning. Then try to force an incorrect observation to cover up for your blind blame.

When did I mention Manning’s rating? You keep saying that but I have not done that. Please go find the post where I mentioned his rating. You have yet to do that but continue to say that. Keith should have caught that pass, that’s a fact. YOU’RE the only person who blames Manning for that play.

Brady put up 14 points and you think that’s enough. Well it wasn’t nor should it have been. It’s a WEAK excuse BY YOU as you try to defend your hero Brady. His offense averaged well over 30 ppg and could only put up 14, when will you acknowledge that he failed his team all game long. Yet you blame Manning for their P/O losses when they did the same. You have your own set of rules and try to force it down everyone else. It’s weak.

I don't commit every single play to memory, I use various resources to jog the memory of what I saw live.

it's better than looking at ratings and making excuses for every INT, right?

You are blind on this issue and on most QB issues. you can critize Brady for leading his team on an 80 yd drive to take the lead in the final mins of the SB but you can't criticize Manning for leading his team to less than 14 PPg in EIGHT playoff losses on average.

The pas to keith was NOT a good one but Manning can do no wrong in your eyes. The pass to Wayne was a great one BUT there just wasn't enough room to make the catch. It was a bad decision that cost them.

When you give your supposed big time D a lead in the final 2 1/2 mins that should be enough.

Manning never did the same as Brady did that game. There is not a single example of manning leading a last minute drive to give Indy the lead only to watch the D blow it.

The players change around peyton, the coaches change, the opponents change, the venues change but the results stay the same- I wonder why?

I haven’t mentioned his ratings. Keep proving yourself to be untruthful.

I don’t make excuses. I give the facts of the play. You can’t accept that because it goes against what you read on the stat sheet or play by play.

I don’t criticize Brady for that 80 yard drive. I give the credit to who deserves it. I criticize Brady for only putting up 14 points all game long and letting his team down.

The pass to Keith should have been caught. It wasn’t a difficult catch and it hit him on the hands. Wayne caught the ball but it took a good hit to jar it from him. It wasn’t a bad decision when they needed to move the ball 63 yards with only 1 time out left and a little over a minute to go.

When you only score 14 points that SHOULD NOT be enough. There may not be a “single example of manning leading a last minute drive to give Indy the lead only to watch the D blow it” which is hardly even a relevant point considering you keep ignoring the fact that BRADY ONLY PUT UP 14 POINTS! If he put up 27 then maybe you would have a point. But he didn’t and you don’t.
