I agree those fans would have buried Favre. But they also would have buried countless other QBs between Favre and Hack, way more than just Mirer, and been right on all of them. So the odds are they'll be right on Hack too, though of course I hope they're wrong.
I sleep well knowing that had the Jets not selected Hack with their 2nd round pick, they would have found a way to draft the next Stephen Hill, Jace Amaro, or Vlad Ducasse. For the record, I don't think Hack will turn into much, though I certainly hope he does. I simply don't see the value in pissing in the Jets' Cheerios until we actually know one way or another.
