why b/c I don't whine they cheat? is any of this stuff going to take away their Lombardi trophies? if it can I'm on board but since that won't happen all of this is useless. we can go back through history and whine about past champs- the Giants played w/ a crackhead(and where do you think BB learned to cheat?), Den cheated the salary cap, SF cheated in multiple ways, etc...

And advantage for themselves? They simply didn't want any monkey business come the day of their game - where's the problem in that? Pre-game 'advisories' are as common as working the refs during the game itself. Moreover, the onus wasn't on Indy not to "save their gunpowder" but with NE to abide by the rules. I don't get the bending overbackwards here for NE. If nothing else "The Patriot Way's" once again in P.R. hot water and on the back pages for all the wrong reasons...what the hell's not to like here?

ALL teams will do anything to bend rules to gain an advantage, if Indy cared about the integrity of the game an thought this was a huge issue why sit on that info until the day before they next played NE many months later?

No of course they're not forfeiting their VLTs, but it should not be viewed in an all-or-nothing context. The point is, to just ignore it altogether or take a laissez faire attitude leads to the proverbial slippery slope which you've already exemplified with your "waste-of-time/nothing-to-see-here" brush off. You bend the rules, you face the music and right now ("music-wise") the media's shoving a Nickleback Shit Sandwich down NE's throat........and I feel fine.

anything negative toward NE is nice but when they still have 4 SB titles and 6 AFC titles in this era it doesn't really matter.

The Patriots have been on that slippery slope for some time now...
I'm sure this isn't the worst thing they've done, but hopefully its the thing that finally gets them off that slope.

NFL really needs to end the bullshit going on up there.. Now is the time to do so.

I answered that: the onus wasn't on Indy, it was on NE not to make it an issue in the first place. Don't blame the messenger for not choosing to deliver the message. Blame NE.

Whatever, the word 'Patriots' is begining to have a 'Bonds-type' of stench association to it.

I think they both share blame, NE for bending the rules and Indy for sitting on that info.

As of Sept 2014 NFL and players union agreed on penalties for HGH use. The shit will come down on players using: 6 game ban for first violation, 10 game for second, minimum 2 year for third.

Maybe the Colts should have stayed in bed that day.

    It's their fault.

lol, the Colts told the league exactly what would happen........and that's exactly what did happen!

the whole 'sting' argument that Brady's camp is whining about is really a bad look for them.
it's if to say......."no fair, you didn't tell us that cheating would actually be taken seriously. we've been cheating forever. where was the heads up this time"...
    lol pathetic

The whole thing is pathetic, from the folks trying to diminish it as "not a big deal" to the "everybody does it" excuse makers to the idiots trying to apportion any blame on the Colts.

Interesting coming from someone who celebrates SU's lone championship even though they have been cheating for decades and cheated at that time.
