If the Jets look past this game to the tough games after the bye they have a really good chance to lose it. Cleveland has played 5 tough teams and they were in every game except the blowout at Cincinnati.
Great win today but those damn browns stay in it to the end, I remember that game where friggin tim couch is about to get sacked then throws up a prayer to his TE Heiden and they end up winning it.. Disgusting. With that said keep up those great games from rhodes and washington.
I was at that game. Actually, he hit Andre Davis for the TD -- and the play you are talking about is the two point conversion to Northcutt -- which Couch threw from his back about 100 feet in the air straight up and straight down into Northcutt's hands. I had forgotten that Hall's FG to tie the game was blocked. http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/playbyplay/NFL_20021027_CLE@NYJ
Also, this was the first or second start for Chad. This was followed by one of the all time great Joe Benigno rants that night/morning. I wish i had it on tape. "If you raise your children to be jet fans, you are doing them a disservice." About 15 minutes of rant and true heart felt disgust.
I thoought for sure we'd lose at least one of these too. This is setting up very nicely for a LET DOWN GAME. On the other hand I feel good about the Bears game, they showed some dents in the Arizona game, we can win games like this. Unlike NE, I mean, BB ownes Mangini, I hate to say it. We'll probably beat NE next year!:breakdance:
I don't think this is a classic "let down" situation because there is a bye after this game. That allows the team to focus solely on the Browns without having the Pats or Bears games immediately looming. Play, win and then rest, then on to New England BTW, that Cleveland game in 2003 was Chad's 3rd career start.
2002 -- but you are right -- third start -- KC; MINN; CLE I remember that now -- three home games in a row. I was at the two losses.
