if DMAC falls to us we trade out with detroit plus williams, then draft a cb with pick. Perfect world for us we get wr and cb improve both sides of ball even more. Detroit does need a rb badly.

I just heard they are not trading williams so that won't happen ever.

Someone should get McFadden one of those... (dude, you spelled calendar wrong)

Rhodes is light years better than Sanders.

In Fact, it is fair to say Rhodes is as good as Ed Reed. (Top TWO safeties in the NFL...here's an update...Roy Williams is a HORRENDOUS liability in Pass coverage...)

Their stats, and Impact on any given sunday are roughly equal, yet, Ed Reed, plays behind a far more talented front seven.....Edge Rhodes...

I think if all the good ones are cherry picked by #6, Mangini and Tanny should duck out back for a blunt and come back for the second round. Make a good pick in the 2nd and then order Dunken Donuts for round 3.

No matter what they may say or think I don't see any way in the world that the Jets trade down. If anything they will trade up. Based on their performance they have just spent 150 million on 6 1st or 2nd rounders already. The last thing they will do is trade down to get some mediocre players now. Woody didn't part with those bucks because he felt benevolent. He remembers all those empty seats last year. This is the year they can actually afford to put together a package to get the one player they want.

Hey, Quack, you're funny. NDmick, I have just been thinking about that ole tough-ass Buckley lately. He was an elegant bastard.

Never thought about this, but it is a very intersting theory. I think it could work.

NOOOOO. They will not get away with drafting first round CB's and putting that much money for a long term into that one position.

Nonsense...you can't trade players during the draft. How the hell are you going to negotiate a contract and get a physical done in less than 10 minutes?

They spent Millions on the line. Mcfadden must be picked because Woody has played the off season like we are in win now mode. If he is gone then Gholston, A D-lineman or Cb must be added with the pick. Unless we can find somebody to trade up. After Mcfadden there is no player in the draft worth coming up to and the team that wants to draft him will come up to Miami or Oakland anyway.

    You are joking, right?

The Raiders made 2 such trades last year alone.

This happened in the 2007 draft:

    Raiders trade for Williams, McCown

Oakland Raiders: Acquire WR Mike Williams and QB Josh McCown.
Detroit Lions: Acquire pick No. 105 (fourth round).

Not as much as Ware, Kerney, Allen, or even Cromartie...and that matters to me way more than the completely subjective opinions that go into handing out awards.

If you're a long time sports fan and you're not even partially speculative of who gets handed what awards then you must have been sleeping on the past...well entire history of sports.

Coaches and players voted Palmeiro a GG. Coaches, players, and sports writers made Jimmy Rollins the MVP over David Wright last year despite Wright blowing Rollins out of the water offensively in a tough pitchers park.

Coaches and players give their OPINIONS. These are not and should not be treated as fact. But I guess its up to you to make that choice.

Safeties I would take over Bob Sanders:

    Rhodes
    Wilson
    Reed
    Dawkins
    Taylor (RIP)
    Polamalu

Thats not even going into the young guys like Whitner, the Landrys', Pool, Jones...

Your logic doesn't even make sense. So if the coaches and players, those all knowing beings, voted say...Justin McCrappen's league MVP you wouldn't question it because those guys know best?
