who were these very good QBs? Chad? Ok but he was coming off 2 shoulder surgeries and had a good year in '06 leading us to the playoffs. favre? who else? Kellen Clemens?
SECOND BEST quarterback in franchise history already after only 3 seasons 31 wins only 22 losses 4 playoff wins hard for the gloom and doomers to admit it
I wonder if these same gloom and doomers would have killed Namath after the 1967 season for his 28 INT's which included 9 in 3 losses down the stretch which caused us to miss the playoffs.
Funny how everyone wanted to play for Rex and this team last year.. Let's see what happens this year..
Yeah. It comes down to our whole team played real poor so Sanchez wasn't the main or only problem. Also, there is no other option really. Keeping Sanchez and improving the rest of the team seems like the safest, best way to build a team.
He also rushed for 6 TDs as well. He's a pretty solid QB considering he's been languishing in a SCHITTY system.
Do we seriously need a new Mark Sanchez thread every single day? What needs to be said has already been said, all this will be is people repeating the same points that have already been brought up. Post in the existing threads and polls before making a new one.. Jeesh.
No, which is one reason I did not answer the poll, the other being I really don't know about him. I do think he has a group of supporters here who are totally homeristic in defending him, and I argue with them. But he's coming back, and I would hardly say it is impossible for him to succeed. On the other hand I don't have any real confidence in him, either. But that is not a choice in the poll. There's plenty else to talk about, so I intend to not spend so much time focusing on this one issue going forward.
I don't disagree, but say he has another below average season next year, and then has an awesome season in year 5. What do you do? Do you throw a boatload of money at a guy that had 4 below average years and one awesome year?
Fortunately, it appears that less than 20% of this board fail to realize that the OL was atrocious in 2011. As for the less than 20% crowd, watch some playoff games this weekend and see how much time the QB gets.
It was hardly atrocious..maybe it wasn't the best in the league as it was last year but atrocious is a ridiculous statement. As far as this weekend see how long it takes these quarterbacks to release the ball.
He was. But in year 3 he threw 28 INTs including 9 in 3 losses down the stretch. Sanchez is going to be a top tier QB, but you guys want to toss him aside.
