I agree. And the irony is you run a board that attracts some of the most negative people in the world.
H'mm like I asked stevip are you are shrink? Otherwise how would you know why a person thinks positive or negatives thoughts about anything
Don't mind my brother (PISANO24...the one who started this thread) He's a negative person. He was screaming the whole game about how Pennington sucks and then at the end Pennington won the game even though it's now been reported that he had a stomach virus during the game! BOOYAH! Didn't hear my brother complain after the game was won! So I'm enjoying this right now, I'll start worrying when they have to play the Ravens or Chargers...if only we still had the chargers weakness Santana moss. And I think my brother should win AVATAR of the YEAR! Although mine shoulda won last year...man I gotta change mine.
My Dear Little Brother... I wasn't bitching about Penny... I was worried about not moving the ball and losing to a rival when it counted the most. You were being weird too. When we wanted to delay watching the game an hour (Tivo) so that we could spend time with Mom and the kids you marched out of the room like a baby... Hugs and Kisses, Joe P.S. Stop crying about Santana Moss... Coles was the friggan team MVP this year! p.s.s. "I MADE YOU ... (a Jets Fan) REMEMBER?" - Joker from 1989's Batman
It's all gravy at this point. Next year we can start getting upset if the Jets look like a marginal contender doomed to an early exit in the playoffs. Right now that role is all upside. Let's say the Jets have a 5% chance at a Super Bowl win right now. That's 4.99% more than they had at the beginning of the year.
it's not all gravy now, if we lose to Oakland and miss the playoffs it will be a HUGE disappointment. Things change so qucikly in this league you have to take advantage of these opportunities. Next year we'll have high expectations(I guarantee you most on here will expect us to win the division) but an injury here or there or just taking a little step back and we might not be as good. We HAVE to win Sunday or it sets the program back a couple of years.
I think that's a little alarmist junc. There will certainly be alot of wailing an gnashing of teeth if they Jets lose to the Raiders(they could still get in the playoffs with some help) but I don't think it sets the franchise back several years. The one thing I'm pretty sure it would do however was be the end of Pennington as the starter in NY.
Maybe not years but it will be a big step back. I just don't get your hatred of Chad, the guy is the biggest reason we have a big game this weekend and you guys just love to bash him.
I'm not bashing him, I just can't envision a scenario in which the Jets lose this weekend unless Chad plays one of the worst games of his career.
So you're already blaming him in case we lose. At least you're consistent. A loss would be a huge damper on what we've done to this point simply because it's the 2-13 Raiders at home. There is no happy face to put on that one. I don't think it sets us back years but it certainly would diminish the progress we've made a great deal.
I just read Tony's post and I concur...this is gravy! Who would have expected a CHANCE to make the playoffs in a truly rebuilding year? I'm loving every minute of it, no matter what. NYJUNC, I don't think anyone hates Pennington. Most of us love his smarts and tenacity, and the way he manages the game. What FRUSTRATES some of us is the understanding that he is limited in what he can do, and that will limit out capabilities. Personally, I don't know if we can go all the way with Pennington at QB? I'm rooting for him on every play, but also looking forward to seeing Clemens emerge so we can get to the next level. That is not a criticism of anyone, just how many Jet fans feel... Personally, I'm exctied and happy about our team...
Joe you were saying that the Jets need to get rid of him! Crazy...and yes sorry that I wanted to watch the Jet game because I was looking foward to it all week. Plus you already watched your fantasy football so you were already excited...guess I'm just the bigger fan....and you made me? You were in LA when I became a jet fan.
I'm very happy with the way things have turned out this season and yeah, I was one of the original "Darksiders". I expected 5 wins and we're working on 10. I was asking for 16 games out of Pennington and I got it. Every week I hope that Good Chad shows up and when he doesn't, I don't lose it like some. I just take it all in with a eye on the big picture. I go back to '65 with this team as well and had to live thru all the heartbreaks. The Spike Game, The MudBowl, The Byrd Collision, Kotite, The Oakland Catastrophy of '02 and of course, "The Knee" (I'm still real bitter bout that one too...). Anything we get from Sunday on down the line is a bonus for this Jets team and its Fanbase. I have a feeling if we win on Sunday, the negative posts will vanish but if we lose, the manic depressives will be out in force. Such is life as a Jet Fan..
Just because you are the worst fantasy player in the history of the world doesn't mean I can't enjoy my teams. and you were a freakin Giants fan until me...assy!
