One of my all-time favorite films for its terrific blend of comedy, mystery and suspense: The Silver Streak - 1976
I thought this topic was Old Forgotten Movies, I've either heard of or seen most of the movies mentioned here and I'm in my 20s. Last week I was watching ElRey network and the movie Frogs came on. Starring a young clean shaven Sam Elliot. I think it was better off forgotten.
[George is pretending to be a black man in order to evade the police] George Caldwell: I don't think we're going to make it past the cops. Grover Muldoon: We'll make it past the cops. I just hope we don't see no Muslims.
Gotta add this movie to the collection, Cult Classic, great freaking 80s music - Cman, I know you've seen this movie before.
Been a long time but I remember seeing it back in my martial art movie days. I actually have 5 fingers of death and the Sho Kosugi ninja movies.
Great great movie. Who doesn't like a soundtrack by DeBarge? When he catches the arrows? Hells yeah. _
The dude glows fucking yellow, you know you've entered the big leagues when you can achieve that. Amazing soundtrack as well.
Butch Cassidy, and The Sting are probably two of my favorite movies of all time. The Newman / Redford chemistry in those films was among the best ever shot. I heard that they were actually supposed to play the opposite roles in Butch Cassidy, but they decided that they would each be better in the other role and the director agreed to give it a shot. Great call. Another great movie from that era is Papillon with Steve McQueen and Dustin Hoffman.
