Kurowasa was a friggin master. Guess it took them like a friggin month to shoot the battle scene in the rain. Also an interesting fable about that period of Japanese history.

Great.... Another classic movie ruined by rebooting. If they ever try to remake Casablanca, I'm going to hollywood with a fully loaded AK and go looking for the screenwriters.

The art of making a great Western has long since faded. These days, I have a feeling the new M7 will be set in some urban locale.

Not only did TM7 have a great cast, it had a simple premise that made it easy to make and film.
I can only hope they don't fck this up.

Ha! Love The Treasure Of The Sierra Madre. Maybe my vote for best pic, gun to my head. Watched it many, many times and have it saved on DVR.
Along with The Asphalt Jungle...another Huston classic.
The Man Who Would Be King is yet another great one by Huston that i recently saved from TCM

Also the Alfred Hitchcock movies are great. To name some more, among so many

Sounds like this remake will also take place in the West

Plot: Seven gun men in the old west gradually come together to help a poor village against savage thieves.

haha, don't worry it isn't Seven gangsters coming together to save a neighborhood in south side Chicago

    Thanks Poe! I needed a good laugh!!!!! :) :)

I believe that plot was already done with Jim Brown, Pam Grier and Fred Williamson in "Original Gangsters".

Yeah. Hollywood made some great comedies back then. Now nobody laughs anymore, it's against the law I think.

That's partly because whatever the joke is, some asshole is going to be "offended" and cry about it on CNN.
