I wouldn't have benched Fitz in houston BUT his performance would definitely make his next game decide his future as a starter on this team. I mean, Geno did earn the job a long time ago.. and i think Fitz is earning his old title as well. BACK UP.

Your usage of "bots" has gotten pretty lame, "fitzsucker." It's incredibly sorry that you are so miserable that you force yourself to believe that Petty is the future and Fitzpatrick is good. Your hate for Geno is also incredibly embarrassing. He's the backup QB who will most likely be on a different team next year yet you continue to rag on him to increase your belief that Fitzpatrick is good. The 2-3 fans who are here solely for Geno are no worse than your sorry posts.

Well, we are not out of contention. All the wildcard teams have huge problems. The league is weak. We have the same record as the Seahawks for perspective. Everyone is freaking out and some people are whining for Geno already - it's really annoying.

    Calm down there Genobot.

You'll have another team to follow next year.

    Don't worry about my Jets.

BINGO... so much for no names. Question ...what did you see in the Raiders game that makes you feel he is worth a shot... it was a typical Geno game... some nice throws with some really boned headed plays.... sorry that ship sailed.

He made some throws and runs that Fitz simply cannot do physically...Why not give him a week of work as the starter and see what happens? What are gunna score zero instead of 3 in the first half or Geno's going to throw a pick 6 instead of back to back picks to end the game? I mean really it can't be much worse so it's worth it to see what happens

Obviously at the end of the game he had a few embarrassing moments but I think many of us just want to see something new out there with a tiny bit of potential

The offense has bottomed out under Fitzpatrick and there's zero upside

No harm in switching it up

The problem with the no name game is there IS prior history to go by with both players specifically Geno. You could use that exercise to say well if one guy was a former #1 overall pick and another was a 6th round punk from Michigan who would you start if you were the 2001 Patriots?

Frankly, who fault was the last two games? Not Fitz... Bills losss HC poor decisions. OL play in the last four games has been bad. How many drops did smith have yesterday that would have been TDs if he hung on? These guys get payed to make catches and not run into each other... that is not Fitz.

As for not having arm strength...I'll repeat this fact again.... two games ago or maybe three he over threw Marshall and the ball traveled 60 yards in the air. Even the announcer said he can throw deep...

No he didn't... Fitz was injured and he was named because he was the only viable option at the time.

LOL at Fitz not being at fault...He's playing like dogshit. Just because he had one nice throw that Smith dropped does not give him a pass for the rest of his play

Even Bowles said yesterday that Ryan did a poor job

The thumb injury and big hits are taking a toll on him...if he was playing like he did earlier in the season I wouldn't change things up either.....Unfortunately this is Fitzpatrick's career in a nutshell...early false hope

What part of NOT reading NFL defense don't you get? he is a one read guy period. he has been and has not shown the ability to read Defenses. The O has bottomed out because the OL is not playing well... running game is non existent and has been MIA for 3-4 games during this losses...

Dropped passes may have to do with the throws? Jesus Christ I've heard it all. I could catch half the passes that were dropped....

    Leave names out of it?

    Fitz.... he sucks.

    Geno... sucks worse.

Petty.... hasn't had an opportunity to suck.

Think the names are all covered.

I don't give a shit what Geno has done in the past because I'm willing to see how he does in year 3 with a new team...Even if his upside is 1% I still want to see him out there as our offense under beat up Fitz is terrible

The running game is also hurt by Fitzpatrick not being able to beat defenses with his arm and not being able to take many snaps under center

I really just don't understand the philosophy in sticking with known garbage....

One nice throw to Smith that was dropped? Trying watching the game again. It was actually 2. And another 40-50 yard bomb that went right through Marshall's hands on one of the first couple drives. I swear some of you don't even watch the damn game.

They are watching through Geno-colored glasses.

So what 2 TDs and other balls were dropped, how about those two INTs in desperation time?

The other Smith one and the Marshall one are 50/50...certainly catchable but it wasn't like the Smith dropped TD

Receivers drop passes all around the league, do you guys only watch Jet games? I mean Brady's receivers against us had like 15 drops but he still came back to dominate the 4th quarter

It's how the QB bounces back when things go wrong
