Don't be an ass -- He wasn't concussed. If he was the Jets would have had no choice or say in the matter.
If you have watched a single game this season, you know that the league has a concussion protocol that is mandated and not controlled by the team and because of lawsuits and various legal reasons taken very seriously.

More anti Geno, hatred bull shit.

I'm not convinced anyone knows today what Geno Smith can do as an NFL quarterback even though so many have their minds made up whether positively or negatively. We know Fitzpatrick is not taking us to the promised land, and I believe it's too early to throw Petty to the wolves as the last two rookies were.

Stop with the name calling, asshole. A few people here have said exactly what you did. The league has a concussion protocol that is mandated and not controlled by the team yadda yadda yadda. I'll believe that when a marquee QB is pulled from a significant game, with the game on the line. Something like if Cam Newton is pulled due to concussion protocol and Carolina gets its first loss of the year because of it. And then in the press conference afterwards Cam said he was OK to play, and the coaching staff and players union backs up the protocol. Then I'll believe they take this as seriously as you say. Until then I think this is just window dressing. If Tom Brady gets hit in the head and says he is playing anyway, guess what? He's playing. By the way a similar situation occured to the Rams yesterday: http://www.sbnation.com/2015/11/22/9779622/case-keenum-concussion-rams-nfl-injury-spotter

In Fitz' case, I'm glad 24 hours later they decided it wasn't a concussion, even though I'm sure with a hit like the one he took he wasn't all there for at least a few minutes. It's good that the Jets coaching staff put any controversy to bed right away and named Fitz the starter against Miami. This way we avoid more of that anti Geno bullshit. Wouldn't want him to go out there and ruin it for you Geno ballwashers by putting in his typical Geno clown show performance.

it's funny when it came to Tebow or Sanchez I didn't recall the majority of the board questioning their mental capabilities, but Geno we are hearing the stereotypical he has great physical attributes but doesn't have the mental capacity to play QB. I know there is an underlying reason for this. When a 10 year vet got got injured last season by improperly sliding, performs the same action the following year or make bad throws and costly interceptions where are the comments questioning his mental capabilities?

Fitzpatrick might have been the best jet on Sunday. Can we stop with this bullshit?

Fitz threw some perfect passes that were dropped. The hatred on Fitz makes no sense. He's not great but he threw some good passes. The backup QB is always the fans' favorite player, even when we already know he sucks.

he also threw some head scratchers. he wasn't good, even bowles said as much, and he certainly wasn't our best player yesterday, not even the best offensive payer.

No he wasn't the best Jet on Sunday.
Drops are a part of the game, receivers aren't going to catch every damn pass.

Of course there's an underlying reason for it...Sanchez and Tebow didn't miss a meeting cause they were at a movie, and didn't have a teammate punch them out in the locker room.

Really? So if Geno threw back to back INTs to end the game would you really have the same thing to say? There's no chance.....

He made a couple nice passes (a few of them dropped) but was pretty ineffective overall.....Bowles even said Fitz didn't play well and coaches won't ever say that about their QB unless they were pretty bad, which he was

If not for a turnover we would have been shutout in the first half

There's no shame in calling it like it is......Fitz has been very bad ever since his thumb injury but if you still don't want to see Geno I can atleast respect that point of view.

But can we please stop with the everyone else but Fitz narrative? He's gotta step up his play, atleast back to an average level and its really that simple.

What is this garbage? How can NFL fans really believe that Fitz has been playing well the last few games, or even specifically yesterday? A few drops like every other game for every team....it's zero excuse for the rest of his play overall
