It's not a matter of projection. It's a matter of whose better right now which is a stance you're taking that Wilson is and saying any mistakes he's made is everyone else's fault. Sam Darnold is performing better than Zach Wilson right now.
No doubt Sam is the better QB right now with Carolina. He has played better with better weapons. If the roles were reversed the story might not be so cut and dry.
Would it be unfair to say that many that feel strongly thIs board has become unreadable are perhaps the most guilty of making it so. Just saying.
Very well said BOJ...you keep trying until you find the guy. But ATM our Zach showed off his special talents last game and I hope the Coaching staff knows how to develop him into something great Lately, I split time between the NYJs and Vegas Raiders Boards and the fans out West complain and say exactly the same thing about D Carr >>>he will not be Elite . Its pretty clearly the case after he was spanked by the Oregon kid Herbert last Monday. Why did you leave Baker Mayfield out of your best QB list ?? When he was drafted I thought he was also special plus Brownies are 3-1 like Bills Good luck today but I have heard that the Buffalo never stood a chance versus the Indians with those spears and arrows ahahah
Well my Heart is certainly with you on Zach...my Mind is almost there too my friend. There certainly is Validity in the comparison you offered up between the 2 talent wise. But like every Scientific experiment I just have to see more Great Performances from our QB to increase the Reliability
Liked your Post ..except for when you say we cant fire everyone or anyone The Coaching staff and OC LaFleur have lightning in the bottle with Zach If they f#ck him up and don't use him correctly , give him the right calls, or make him stand like a statue in the pocket thats a fireable offense
Yeah, I've seen enough of LaFleur he is just not good at his job. We cannot wait for him to grow into this job while we got a young promising QB. DC Albrich was off his game also today. No pressure on Ryan.
I don’t think mayfield has really shown anything more than potentially being a game manager, and I’m not sure he’s even all that great at that. They have a killer running game and defense, and he manages throws when they want to throw, but that offense runs through Chubb/hunt and that great offensive line. Mayfield is nowhere near elite, and I think he’s quite a few tiers below that. I think he’s maybe average to above average.
Darnold does look like he was poor today but the original point (that I agree with) is that we would have been better taking the deal from the Niners, trading back and getting 2 extra first round picks (that could turn out to be pretty high given the way the niners are going) and using those picks to stock the roster before drafting a new QB project instead of trying to rebuild a roster around a rookie QB.
