There's no way Brick weighs 300 pounds. Simply no way! I'm noticing that he's lost weight since the preseason. He's skinny!
Oh shit thats disgusting. Hook up with some fatties and take onboard their bulk....think I want to puke.
dude the dunkin donuts is out of control.....the worst greasy shit and THE WORST COFFEE IN THE WORLD......everyone I know loves that shit coffee...tastes like dishwater, weak shit. definitely an embarassment for this country is the love for dunkin donuts
I wouldn't go to mine if my life depended on it. I don't appreciate seeing someone of persian descent picking their nose and then making my food. I have to draw the line there.
Thanks alot, you just put me off donuts for a while. Anyway, I wonder if there is some medical reason on why D'brick is losing weight? I'm sure the team docs are on it thou.
ive already said, its not the definite answer but as someone who played football, iim pretty sure ts because hes actually running around and practicing. your in season weight and your offseason weight are two different things. especially for lineman. Brick was working on his 40 and such but nowhere near the amount of cardio you get from practicing daily, not to mention gameday. So during the combine and leading up to the draft he lived in the weight room and got up to 312. Now that time is split between lifting, drills, study sessions, and practice. So naturally hes going to lose weight. Hes pretty much maxed out his frame, theres just no bulk such as a lineman whos in great shape but slightly overweight. hes basically a TE on roids, thats just his natural build and hes pushed it as far as it can go. he entered college at like 245 and managed to float around 295-300 by his senior yr.
Maybe I can get a Santeria guy to conjure up my grandmother's ghost so she can cook him some Cuban food with lard.
If he's as bulked up as people say he is, then he's probably needs somewhere north of 8000 calories a day just to maintain his build. Add on all the physical activity he does, to take him out of a calorie deficit would require a huge amount of calories. It gets to a point where its physically difficult to eat that much food.
He came to us as a project because of his weight. A project takes time. An offseason bulk program will do him wonders, a FULL offseason program, and one where he isn't burning nervous rookie energy. I knew this would happen this season, and it's why he will hit the rookie wall the hardest. He's going to burn many more calories and expend a lot of energy trying to block bull-rushers at this lighter weight. I think he'll be a lot more balanced physically this time next season. This CS will not take their S&C program lightly.
He's probably packing about 100 pounds of pure muscle. That is fairly absurd. I'm pretty sure that he is most likely stronger than most O-linemen 20 pounds heavier than him, and he is much faster. This probably is not a problem. With such a lean frame, his endurance is extremely high, his speed is high, and his chances of injury are fairly low in comparison to the "bigger" players that are more fat. If we see a slip in his play, then let's worry. If not, maybe this guy will help re-define the LT position in the modern pass-oriented offense. The big mauling guard that we should plug in next to him will make up for any bulk problems. Damnit, why did we not get MJ Giles.
I'll say this... I watched the Chargers play on Sunday, and McNeil was VERY impressive. I know this has nothing to do with Ferguson, but maybe 2 1st rounders on the line was too much? I know that's hinesight though, and understand 100%
His problems were nutritional. Nobody bothered to teach him how to eat to keep his body where it needed to be. Between his McDonalds diet and wisdom tooth infection, he couldn't maintain his mass.
Jerome James is the worst excuse for a basketball player that I've ever seen, but he is a bit pudgy, true!
