Chris had a lot of praise for the Jets pretty much the entire game...I almost thought he would jinx us!!
He wasn't called Joey Sunshine for nothing... Look for lots of "I think this team can win the superbowl" talk for whatever team happens to be ahead at any given moment...

Joe Theismann isn't as awful as Dennis Miller was, so that's always a positive. TBH, I'm surprised that they didn't reach out to Jaws or Chuckie for this game. I enjoy how those two breakdown plays and it's really funny to hear Chuckie go nuts when talking about, as he says it, "Da while-caht." That'd have been fun to listen to.
Can somebody give me a solid reason why Cris Collinsworth is a lousy commentator? I don't understand the hate. I've never heard something blatantly wrong come out of his mouth. He's critical, but I like that. Lots of guys on the verge of being good commentators (Jon Gruden, for instance) lose points with me because they suck off whomever they're watching. I think Collinsworth is one of the best in the business. I'm open to reassessing that claim, but somebody's going to have to say something other than "he's a dick, he's an asshole" to get me to reconsider. Joe Theismann and Paul Maguire were the worst tag team in the history of sports.
Absolutely my two most hated commentators. I was so glad to see Maguire banished to the UFL. And Theismann is one of the biggest egomaniacs in the history of egomania. Can't stand that guy. I'm always glad to see Jaws in his spot because I know he must hate Jaws.
Only because DM was used as a gimmick commentator, the others actually played the game, still have jobs as commentators and still suck. But I do understand where your coming from.:up:

Agreed. Nothing could be worse than that POS cracking half-assed jokes while you were trying to pay attention to the game. Worst commentating choice ever. I'm glad they learned their lesson from that debacle.
Collinsworth is cool, altho he sounded like a real idiot when he was talking about Tony Richardson. He said that T-Rich rents his Minneapolis house out to Brett Favre and then he asked who he rents his house here. Uhh, maybe he lives in it?
