Not even saying that. The locals will not be happy, and one drunk overly happy fan meets one drunk depressed fan, and I'm just saying that it could lead to awkward moments. Of course, if this goes to PKs, Brazilian players will have the weight of the nation on their shoulders. Would definitely not want to miss...
I read that at that time Maracana was primarily standing arena, with only a couple thousands seats. It's listed capacity was just a bit over 200,000. Full for the final game of course. Scary to think what was happening after
Is there a strategy to the order you place your players? If you place your best penalty kicker 5th, then they might not get a chance, but if it gets there, they have the most important kick.
What a game. Chile would have gone much further from a different spot in the bracket. Unlucky to face the host so early.
Heartbreaking for Chile, you hit the crossbar in the final seconds and your best player misses a second penalty and then you hit the bar on your final PK. Brasil look very beatable, they do not look like the best side by far. Crazy thing is this thing is wide open but I have been very unimpressed with Brasil. Some good individual plays but they do not seem to have a lot of flow or rhythm like you are used to seeing.
I think they can adjust as it progresses... So if the game winner would come at kick 4, they could just have Neymar kick then.. I don't think there us a set order they have to submit... I don't know for sure tho.
Oh that makes sense then. I would hate USA to get in PKs. I was holding my breath and I didn't have a rooting interest here. Could't imagine a game coming down to it
The Chile player who hit the post in PKs, he took one or two steps away after the kick like he thought it was in. Man rough ending especially for him.
Brazil looks beatable. They do not look like the best team by far. That's how we write/say this stuff in the USA.
