Could be the "Robby Anderson" steal but for our CB rather than WR position. Through 4/5 days Jones seems to be the talk of the Town in regards to sleepers. Making a name for himself and could end up as our 4th CB behind Trumaine, Claiborne & Skrine. Morris Claiborne. CB. LSU. (SEC). Marcus Maye. FS. Florida. (SEC). Jamal Adams. SS. LSU. (SEC). Derrick Jones. CB. Ole Miss. (SEC). Brandon Bryant. CB. Mississippi State. (SEC). Just an observation. There is no way possible that there's not "locker room talk" of the SEC when in that film room amongst our Secondary unit.

Haha, I've gotten something like this before about the word kid and like both. The last thing I am is a snob, but profuse misuse of the word like just makes people sound DUMB no matter how bright in actuality they may really be. Childless by choice, but I almost feel like having a kid just so I can smack them in the head if they ever say the word like improperly. Forget about peppering sentences with it every other word because that deserves a beating. I can't understand how people interviewing for a job even get hired. How did this like shit even start?! My niece is in her early 30s now and she STILL does it. At least you used the work like correctly in the last sentence. I swear, that word is my nemesis. It's not even kids and teenagers anymore (although they're still the worst offenders). Ever watch that 'Chopped' show, the kid version of it? I swear, I almost took a sledgehammer to the TV because turning it off wasn't enough to quell my rage. Do yourself a favor the next time you're in a public place and tune in. Don't leave your earplugs at home. You'll need them about 10 seconds in. I was in Shoprite the other day, and I swear to you, this not an embellishment: "So like, what time do you like come in tomorrow?" "Like around 10:00." "Should we like, go like get the other palette and like start packing out now or should we like leave it for like the night crew?" "Let's like go ask manager." I almost ran out of the store screaming. Me and the word like on a daily basis: I haven't heard Sam Darnold use that idiot word yet. If he like does, I'll like, like him less.
Parry Nickerson has been just as impressive if not more than Derrick Jones. Parry is getting first team reps, hopefully he opens the door for Skrine to get cut.

I liked Garcia a lot in his draft. I had hoped the Jets would take him in the 3rd round. Yes, based on what I learned about him, he's more of a pass protector than run blocker, but has a very high ceiling as a pass protector. While I'd rather have an LT who can do both equally well, if Garcia can develop and prove to be our starting LT for the next 10 years, that would be huge. It would be one less key position that needed to be filled/addressed. I'll take another Brick at LT if Garcia can stay as healthy and play as well as Brick. Based on what I've read, Garcia has put the weight back on and regained his strength. IMO he has a lot more potential than Shell, but unless he develops into more of a run blocker, isn't really a RT. If he could prove to be Beachum's replacement at LT, however, the Jets could either move Ijalana to RT (where he's supposed to be better) and have Garcia as Beachum's backup and replacement in waiting or release Ijalana and get some good cap relief. Even if Garcia just proves to be a better and cheaper Ijalana, it would be a nice, cheap find imo.
