Me thinks Darnold might win this after all, its been 1 day but it seems like Darnold is right there with Teddy and McCown
Yesterday's standouts. He later added Nickerson to this list as well. From the rookie standpoint, lot's of positive buzz already from Shepard, Herndon, Nickerson and even Cannon. Very encouraging.....hopefully we start hearing Darnold's name now also.
We need someone to step up at CB depth, so the early reports on those two are very encouraging. I actually like Xavier Coleman in the slot too, but he might have a hard time making team. Haven't heard anything on Jeremy Clark or Burris. not even sure if they're practicing. Also Middleton looking good at Safety. Been practicing with the starters while Maye in red shirt. Also heard Bowles say he loves his versatility, and that he can play either safety position. I like to predict a few dark horse candidates every season about midway thru the preseason, and I already have Middleton slotted as one. Hopefully I can add a Corner to that group..
The entire fan base is energized. I am loving this. If Sam turns out as an above average QB next 15 years will be so much fun.
You guys act like we haven't had a real QB in 40 years or something. We do have a bunch of other young players, too.
I'm excited about this Nickerson kid @ CB. He's fast. Blazing speed. One of the fastest players from this year's combine, ran in the 4.3's. Our secondary is going to be sick with a true #1 CB in Trumaine Johnson and Morris Claiborne on the outside as our 1-2 duo along with two 2nd year beast SEC Safeties in Jamal Adams and Marcus Maye both returning on the back end. I'm pretty sure Buster Skrine will be our nickel back against slot WR's but I'm really pulling for Nickerson to make a name for himself.
http://dailysnark.com/bills-rookie-qb-josh-allen-misses-on-wide-open-4-yard-pass/ In Bills news, look at Allen doing his best Hackenberg impression
Yea but Buffalo Bills fans have been raving about Allen lighting it up thus far but I couldn't care less about the likes of Mayfield, Rosen or Allen. Sam Darnold and Saquon Barkley were literally the only two players I wanted heading into last year's NCAA football season. I just never imagined we'd be able to suck enough for Sam. In other words I still have no clue how Darnold didn't go #1. Thank you Cleveland. I wouldn't have it any other way.
