I'd really like to see the team make a move at DT. McClendon is 32 and to my knowledge, still hurt in camp and has been the entire time, I could be wrong though. If we cut him, it's a cap savings of 3.3M and we already have about 16M available. We could sign 26yr old Johnthan Hankins and get 6 years younger and likely a better performer. I do have a concern about Hankins now and that is being out of football shape. He hasn't been in an OTA or camp, so he HAS to be in terrible shape, for a 320+lb man anyway. Being so close to the season starting, he can't be asking for much money, because he won't get it. Odd free agent that is still available.
I'm afraid Chad Hansen was a panic draft pick since they had just found out a couple days prior to the 2017 draft that Devin Smith was lost for the season.
Yup, great story and supposedly a really nice dude. My brother met him and said he was really put together.
Sucks man! I switched over to this avatar because I obviously thought he would be good. The kid had gone through a lot of crap growing up and unfortunately he couldn't stay on the field. I wish him the best and hope he lands on another team if he wishes to continue with football. Perhaps I should change my name the jenkinsthebeast? That was my original avatar when Kris Jenkins was on the team.
Cmon you never heard of Mal Adjusted!?? He has a strange cousin Mal Aprop who was also named after Grandpa Mal Feasance (on the mothers side) who got in trouble embezzaling $
you may have jumped the gun just a little on that name change. Jenkins was a beast, so that avatar was accurate.. I'd say change back..
Jets seem to be getting healthy at the right time. • "Isaiah Crowell ditched his red non-contact pinnie at Monday’s practice, signifying that the Jets running back is no longer in the concussion protocol. Crowell suffered a concussion fighting for a touchdown in the Jets’ preseason opener against the Falcons. He missed New York’s second preseason game, but he’s back in action now as a matchup with the Giants awaits this Friday". • "The Jets got plenty of other good news on the injury front Monday with the return of two Cornerbacks in Trumaine Johnson and Parry Nickerson, who had previously been dealing with hamstring injuries". • "The offensive line also seems to be doing better, as Kelvin Beachum and Brian Winters got some work in". _____________________________________ We just need to avoid injury against NYG and escape with a roster at full strength. Survive NYG without any key injuries and we'll then be able to simply pack it in for week 4 of our preseason finale. If we're able to escape 2018's preseason with Ben Ijalana as our one and only offseason/training camp/preseason casualty; we'll be considered very fortunate and can then consider 2018's preseason a major success. Then it's onto our season opener @ Detroit on Primetime Monday Night Football.
