The optimum outcome would be if this drags out for a few more weeks and then during week 1 the cops walk out on the field, cuff him and drag him away. The only thing that would make that better would be if they played Sunday or Monday night.

August 21, 2009 It appears that Oakland Raiders' head coach Tom Cable is going to need a lawyer soon, following the explosive allegations that he not only broke the jaw of one of his assistants, but choked the guy and yelled "I'm am going to kill you; I'm going to kill you." According to the National Football Post, the assistant, Randy Hanson, has decided to cooperate with Napa police and hand over his medical records, which prove that his jaw was fractured. Cable, as a result, could face felony assault charges, which would more than likely force the NFL to suspend him, thereby putting his future coaching career in doubt. Hanson initially refused to talk to the cops in the hopes that whole thing would blow over and he could go back to work. But then Raiders' owner Al Davis refused to reintate him, in what appears to be another classic case of blaming the victim, so Hanson decided to get an attorney himself and now plans to tell police what happened. Cable apparently had been unhappy with Hanson for some time, before he allegedly attacked him.
Cable just has random fits of rage or is there a reason to be choked? Who knows, maybe Hansen called Cable a sissy which makes him eligible for a choking.
And oddly enough a certain poster who fancies these Raiders and thought it was good Cable went after his assistant is MIA in the thread...
If he didn't suspend Belichick for cheating I don't know what he'll do... then again everyone knows he hates Davis and the Raiders
What you have. Is a employee who was demoted and wanted his old job duties restored. OR Else.(blackmail the Raiders with this story) Al Davis told him he couldn't get his old job duties back , so he going to press chargers on an alleged incident that happened. Lets see what happens and when the truth finally come out. Lets see if IT hanson or Cable that does time. (blackmail is a crime)
And what you have may be a head coach led off the field in cuffs. Not the way you would want to start a season.
i heard on some radio shows that hanson was al's snitch and was forced onto the staff.cable didn't want him.so here's my scenario.hanson tells al some of cables gameplan al doesn't like it tells cable the plan is this.cable gets pissed goes after hanson for reporting to al.very plausible and deserving imo.as we know snitches get stitches
:rofl::rofl: I'm gonna make a bold prediction here. I think this thread will grow to at least 30 pages by midseason. Why? First of all, Tom Cable will be arrested and charged with assault. Al Davis will freak the fuck out. Roger Goodell will suspend Tom Cable. Al Davis will freak the fuck out. It will be revealed that Al Davis put a tremendous amount of pressure on his staff to impede the police investigation, and then that's when shit will get really interesting. Whether or not the police will give Davis the business for blocking the investigation is moot. It will be Roger's cue to go after the Raiders. It may just be a war of the sound bites, it may be something more, but one thing is certain- The T.O. circus of 2005, The Mike Vick Circus of 2006, The Brett Favre Circus of 2007-2009... All these sideshows will be mere warm-ups for the Al Davis Circus of 2009. It's going to be intense, it's going to be hilarious, and it's going to be a 1-15 season for the fastest team in the NFL.
