I basically agree with all of this. Sadly, the bolded is the only thing that matters in the real world.
Even with Simms not having a touchdown, I am still happy with his play so far. Poor blocking and a few dropped balls and Simms is still moving the ball. Obviously points in the end are all that matters but there is only so much one can do. If Sanchez or Geno were playing, im sure the Jets would be losing.
Just a note, this is Simms' second year. He was on the team last year if I recall. I'm liking watching him though. I don't worry as much every drop back when he's there. I do worry about how much pressure the second string OL is giving up though.
LOL! I got off the couch watching the JAGS-Falcons "game" to see if there was one of these threads yet. I wasn't disappointed
I doubt he would ever be a quality starter but I do think the Jets are severely retarded if they don't keep Simms over Gmac He's earned it.
If Simms doesn't make the 53...some other team will grab him before the season hits half-way. Even if it is the eagles 2nd and 3rd stringers and the last look guys...He's showing a lot for a kid. I think hes earned the 3rd QB spot.
Stinky you stink!! I actually started this thread before the game!! And have been raving on him since the start of the year. Eat that with your cheerios while you watch your falcons game!! (Obviously im Joking)
I still haven't seen him play one down. Upsetting. But his numbers make an excellent argument for letting him start.
I hope he's the real deal. I've only seen in in the Giants game, but I figured if the game was going well there'd be a Brett Ratliff affair given the JETS current stable of QBs  no cheerios..... some grilled chicken a sweet potato and 2 Kona Longboard Lager tallboys.... I'll be back on the couch, this game is better than unisom
Matt Simms has shown more talent than McElroy has shown in 3 seasons now. Simms should have been on the team over Tebow last season.
Yeah he does. He has an odd release. I don't understand how he makes some of these throws like that. He's definitely more fun to watch the McElroy.
Haha yea stinky, we mentioned the Ratliff affair earlier in this thread.. I think theganggreen and Jets fans should have their own dictionary. RATLIFF'ED- The act of a player preforming well in meaningless games, creating a sense of falsified hope to gullible fans who in turn relay their inflated, truly unfounded opinions. Fans suffering from RATLIFFNESS often times display possible blindness, cluelessness, confusion, possible dis-orientation, lack of common sense, and the willingness to accept reality.
Ratliff scored a bunch of touchdowns by throwing deep to Clowney who burned shitty 7th string cbs. A lot different.
