*edit* Tried adding a border and I think it looks way better already. Can anyone suggest any other simple tricks/tips that are often overlooked?

 

I like it...Simple and effective. Try using a better text or making it stand out more with a stroke....

 

Yeah I agree the font is throwing the whole thing off. The thing is, I like the "Chiller Font" to give it more of an "evil" look, but am having trouble making it stand out on the background.

Thanks for the feedback Dirtywater and Green Machine. One thing I forgot to mention is it won't primarily be used as a sig. It is a possibility for my team banner in TGG.com keeper league (I would change my team name to the Evil Monkeys).

Green Machine you mentioned a stroke. Is that a figure of speach or a Photoshop tool. I am a Photoshop novice and am trying to learn it on the fly so I am still unsure of a lot of things.

Thanks for the feedback again guys. I loved that font Green Machine so I switched to it and tried the stroke thing it is really nice. I guess this is pretty much the final copy, but I am definatey open to any criticism because I am honestly flying by the seat of my pants.

 

Final thought... Change the font color to black or brown....Use a red stoke...I bet it would look better..

 

I tried it, it didn't look that good. Especially the brown with red stroke. The black was ok, but I think the red is the best because it gives the most contrast to an otherwise bland color scheme as well as gives it more of an "edge" in my opinion.

 

I am working on my logo for fantasy football and this is the basic framework I have come up with:


I need some help coming up with a cool background. That is about the hardest part unfortunately. :sad: The best I could come up with is this:


Basically, I'm looking for any suggestions and am going with red and black as the main colors (even though the monkey is brown) I'm basically open to any suggestions though as you probably saw with my signature evolution :up:

It's too big anyway.

It's 406x106. Plus it's 79KBs big. (Needs to be 400x100 and 35KBs)

 

Is there any way to lower the size of the file without reducing the quality much when working in Photoshop because I am finding it difficult to have high quality settings and keep it under 35.

 

Is there a way you guys could just make me a sig ?
