i'm not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing. I think that the fact that he was attempting to hide it shows that it clearly was not a disrespectful act.
jesus people.... OAKLAND, Calif. -- Mark Sanchez had to apologize for his sideline demeanor again. This time, he was hot-dogging it. Literally. Sanchez shook off the worst start of his young career by running for one touchdown and throwing for another, before taking time to munch on a snack in the closing minutes of a 38-0 victory over the Oakland Raiders on Sunday. Sanchez was criticized last week for looking dejected on the sideline while throwing five interceptions in an overtime loss to Buffalo. He was happy enough after this performance that he was caught by television cameras trying to discretely eat a hot dog at the end of the blowout. "I want to apologize for that," he said. "I wasn't feeling very good and didn't eat much before the game, so I was feeling a little queasy. Toward the end of the game, I probably should have eaten one of those bars or something, but someone offered [a hot dog], so I grabbed it and tried to be discreet about it, but obviously not discreet enough. So I shouldn't have done that, and it won't happen again." Didn't realize there was freakin' etiquette in NFL football, lol. Next comes dancing lessons.
After the BS that Oakland pulled with the Tim Brown game stopping celebration, I don't care if he pulled out a nail clipper and clipped his toenails. Leave the kid alone. BTW they play the Chargers next week, if someone says they were like a Pop Warner team maybe they can give them a loss too, may come in handy at the end of the season.
Okay..Mark Sanchez's condiment of choice is mustard. From here on out Jets fans eat their hot dogs with mustard only! Going in for the kill. http://img40.imageshack.us/img40/8849/sanchez3.jpg NFL Rookie of the year!
He clearly showed up the opposition! What more disrespectful act could you perform on the sideline than eating processed meat? This man has no respect for the game at all. Bench him. Hell, trade his ass.
Thanks for puttin up the video. All of you saying Sanchez was wrong.....need to re evaluate why they watch football. Mark felt sick, so he ate what was readily available to him. Would you rather have him not eat and throw up on the sidelines? Was it the fact that it was a hot dog?? so what is proper to eat on the sidelines? a Power bar? how about a cereal bar? how about a chocolate bar? ...who draws the line? does it go by amount of protein per ounce?.................GET REAL.
relax chief. its not everyday you see a quarterback eating a hot dog on the bench...the jets won today 38 - 0 i think we can have a little fun...if your incapable of that i'm truely sorry
Rex looks like a guy who would probably have a hot dog wagon on the sideline I guess Rex is ok with sideline snacks.
1st who really cares.. If they could play like this every week its all good.. 2nd NYJetsMan7 I love your Avatar
:drunk: Who gave him (somebody must have bought it) the hotdog? Family??? He didn't get back in so... Did give me a smile. :drunk:
