I fail to see how this is any way 'disrespectful'. Someone clue me in.

It is somewhat disrespectful. Eating during a game is odd. Players like Raiders WR (Swervin') Mervyn Fernandez, Clippers G Quintin Dailey, and Tigers PH Gates Brown have done this sort of thing, but to see a QB do it is especially bizarre.

Ray Lucas just blasted Mark for the hotdog incident. However, he was incorrect, I think.

He said how Mark shouldn't have been eating a hotdog while his backup QB is in the game.

Didn't Mark come back out for another series after he ate?

ray lucas is peeved about it.
honestly it is disrespectful. the only acceptable reason would be blood sugar, i.e.. hyper/hypoglycemia. but whatever, its hte raiders.

    WTF???...lol.

Prior to this game you give me two options:

    1. Sanchez blows up and the Jets are down 30-something-nothing in the 4th qtr.

    2. Sanchez (and the Jets) are pitching a shutout on the road-at Oak-and winning 30-something-nothing in the 4th.

Much was made of the kid's sulking "body language" on the NFL pre-game shows today.

In my humble opinion: major PROPS to the camera director (who with 10 cameras) told one of them to keep a camera on Sanchez when he left the game. That director (keeping that 'discouraged rookie qb' side story in mind) gave an unexpected humorous 'side story' to what was a blow-out game.....I mean, at that point what do the announcers really have to work with aside from whether or not the Jets pitch a shutout?

Damn....the kids' eatin' a Hebrew National (as we're about to close out a blowout win) and people are biatchin' about....er, exactly WHAT pray tell?

    p.s. OL: well done gents!

plus, didn't they say he was eating it during the TV timeout??? It's not like he was on the sidelines while Clem was running for his life avoiding a sack (hypothetical, i Know this didn't actually happen) with a mouth full of grade F "meat"
