Just the opposite...this makes them more vulnerable then ever for building an entire team around one player and one side of the ball while completely ignoring the offense..they are as good as gone if they don't at least go 8-8.
Just move on, we are being too dramatic.... Look he is the best player we have had in a decade bar none. Nobody is being too dramatic. We just lost one of the best players in the league.
Dude, the Pats can live with McCourty because they have an all time great quarterback that touches the ball on every offensive play. We have Mark Sanchez. It's not my logic that's broken, it's just me being objective. I'm not predicting 4-12 for them or for us. We are still an okay team. But the quality team we played without him, we got our asses kicked. All I'm saying is this is certainly a bigger deal than 'now we just gonna generate dat pass rush.'
Cro is a top 10 corner. We've been spoiled by having 2 on the same team. Right just like how Welker is a shell of himself.
Cromartie is capable of being just as good as Revis, and he's gonna have to, im more worried about Ellis Lankaster being on the field more
Dude, I'm embarrassed for you right now... might be the single most utterly moronic statement ever posted on this site.
Aside from the colossal implications for our defense, I'm just so disappointed as a fan. He's usually the lone bright spot, I love watching him, Love when broadcasters rave about him. I also want to see him hoist that lombardi trophy. No way in hell we win it this year, but now i'll feel an oz. of sympathy if we do...
I understand what he's saying, but I rather have Sanchez go down for the year then Revis, thats how important Revis is to this team
Most top D's with: no pass rush from the D-line in the 4-3, no ability to set the edge in the 3-4, nor average play from the linebackers in general need the player that enables them all to be mediocre. We really need to start seeing Coples, Ellis, and Davis step up.
a few notable recoveries for the hysterics. Rod Woodson tore his ACL in '95 and returned that same season for the Super Bowl. Derek Anderson tore his ACL for UK in '97 and practiced at full speed for the team that same season, but Pitino kept him out of games (though he did shoot two free throws in the Final Four). An ACL tear is not a death sentence and 99% recovery is likely for pro-athletes. I tore my ACL back in '94, and even with good ol' United States Navy medicine, hardly what Revis has at his disposal, I was fully recovered within 6 months with stronger legs than before my injury.
If we end up having a succesfull season and make the playoffs and go on a run, I fear Tanny will undervalue Revis and not give him a big contract or even worse, thats whats goonna end up happening
The Ewing Theory, that lifted my spirits a bit after watching chick flicks and eating ice cream for the past 45 minutes
It sucks to lose Revis. Big test for Rex and his master of defense skills. Time for the Jets to step up big-time as see just how good Rex's "Best Team Ever" really is. Go Jets.
