This is the same guy who thinks we overcome this injury to the best CB in the league by "making a move."

I guess there is a Pro Bowl CB just sitting at home right now? Or maybe the Jets can trade for one with one of the surplus players we have at other positions?

Terrible news if Revis is out for the season.

He is without a doubt our best player.

I just got home from Miami feeling all good only to read this shit, Damn!

What this means is the offense has to finally step up. Which wont happen.

What is lost in that video is watch Jake Long not only go at Bart Scott's knees but from behind. As usual Scott had no shot to make the play but if he did Revis likely would not have been injured.

If Revis is down and you feel the need to make a ridiculous trade then you go get a pass rusher, not a DB.

I like how some people are trying to downplay this. Revis is the best player on the team, without a doubt. The guy single-handedly and consistently takes away the best receiver on the opposing team...week in and week out. Best corner in the league by far.

So the Patriots aren't a playoff calibur team anymore? I'd say they are. They just barely lost the Super Bowl again only last year.

Are the Jets a playoff calubur team?

We won't know who is a playoff calibur team until we see who makes the playoffs. It's only week 3.

With Revis out I think we'll have to change the way we play on D radically... the only reason we can play how we play is Revis (see what happens without him like vs the Steelers). Hopefully Rex will be able to adapt.

So we play more cover 2 and less man..big deal. The key is Wilson and if he can start living up to his first round pick status. Nobody can think the team will disintegrate because Revis went down. If it does then everybody should be fired..he isn't Brady.

I hope Revis gets back , but if he is out there may be a silver lining.

    1) Revis has been Rex's crutch since he got here, now Rex will have to focus on the front 7 which can only help the younger guys on the line improve.

    2) They will have to focus more on the offense because we now can't play the first to 21 game any more, we may have to be in shoot outs.

    3) We gel around Revis not being there and play well, and Darelle loses his high ground on another contract that will force us to downgrade at other spots due to financial constraints.

I think that these 3 areas can be achieved if he is not able to play. You eventually have to take the training wheels off of the bike.

If Revis has a torn ACL this season is pretty much screwed, even though we're a lucky 2-1 right now.

yeah that 2-1 will turn into 3-6 real fast. the injury gods eventually were gonna screw the jets and we got a taste of it last year with mangold.

what can u do? its part of the game and u hope to god ur team is in a position to somewhat absorb the hit. funny - as much of a darksider i am - i think the jets are potentially in a position to get by with this. but getting by with the current roster is not good enough and leaves no room for error. - especially against the better teams.

With Revis out, there goes our pass rush, and our secondary will be picked apart. More high scoring games.

    M Sanchez.. Waiver wire pickup!

Let's start thinking 2013... 2012 is done, even though we can still make playoffs.. No SB this year.. Unless Revis is back in January.

We didn't have a pass rush even with Revis. 3 sacks in 3 games.

We shall see how much Kyle Wilson has progressed. Personally, I am not getting a warm, fuzzy, feeling.

Rex will come up with something without Revis. The defense won't be as good but I'm confident he'll still put a good defense on the field. We are now 5-1 in games where Revis partially or fully missed. He never had great corners when he consistently had a top 5 defense in Baltimore.

The offense will need to pick it up significantly though.
