Harvick is the best driver again this season and deserves to win, but Nascar wants the worst of the 4 drivers to win

IMO, RM, chase is a joke....the best driver, with the best team should be the Champion, not a guy that hung around all year
I understand, I'm no fan of it either, I'm a Gordon fan so I would be happy if he won however, if anyone has been hurt by the constant change in points format by nascar it's been Gordon, until he hurt his back and got older, no one was more consistent than he was, under the old format he would have won an additional 2 titles to get him 6. I would be happy for Harvick, if anyone has paid his dues and deserves to win a 2nd title it's Harvick.
The way I see it, Harvick wasn't the best team last year. 12-16 races into the 2014 season he wasn't even in the top 20 in standings. He won his championship, but THIS year is the one he really earned it. So last year is made up for. At least it wasn't Joey, or Brad a second time.
You know your format is fucked up when a guy misses almost 1/3 of the year and wins the championship. That said I'm very happy for him. He was up until last night the most talented active driver without a championship.
I know you guys have a huge problem with the new system, but just like the NFL passing rules and the salary cap, this system is not going to change, except for a system you will probably hate worse, because it will continue to swing toward boosting late season ratings (see: that retarded rule change about only one GWC finish during the fucking Chase). This goes for any professional sports. The powers that be don't care about your sensibilities or for history, and your benign complaints don't matter to them. If it matters that much to you, you can level an insignificant boycott.
I know that, and I bet the other people in this thread probably realize that too. Boycotting wouldn't do anything. I'll still watch. I just wish it was actually fair like it used to be.
I'm sure there were drivers during the last system that thought points for finishing position was a pussy way of doing things, too. That wins were the only thing that should count. I'd rather it be that way than either of the two systems.
