The all-star shootout is wayyyyyyy better than watching grass grow, but not as good as watching paint dry.
It was ok. I only watched the final 10 lap segment, because both of the drivers I root for most weren't even in the race, it's a non points race, and tbh I'm a little bored with NASCAR this season.
I thought the shootout was that Friday night race that determines the last two drivers for the actual all star race?

He couldn't hold Dale Sr or Pettys jock. Even if he tried. The stupid chase format is the only reason why he's been so successful. He would suck ass if it was still done the way it always was before the chase format. And the way it is now where if you win and your in, is the peak of stupidity for the chase format.
I know he's good and all but I don't put him up there with Dale Sr and Petty. The chase is what's killing NASCAR IMO.

He has dominated a few seasons where he should have been champion. Edwards should have one too since he technically tied for 1st a few years ago. As for Jimmie, I'm not a fan, but he is an amazing driver, stand up guy, with an amazing team. Saying he only has his 6 titles because of the chase is just asinine. If anything it makes it more impressive, since the chase is very random for deciding a champion. You can't mess up at all, or you're done. He will get #7 too. Also he is 1 win away from matching dale sr in wins, but i suppose you guys will say that's scewed too somehow. Back in the old days, there were only a few drivers that could win. Now there are many more, making wins, and championships much more impressive imo. This is directed at everyone btw.
Congrats to Martin Truex who dominated Pocono, Martin has led the most laps in each of the last 4 races...touching moment at the end of the race with a bunch of drivers, including JJ and Junior, coming over and congratulating Martin and his girlfriend , who is battling ovarian cancer...
