against his old team and he gives them a "good riddance" story. . He was one of the biggest duds today.
Watch Moore play. he catches with his hands almost all the time. Braxton is a body catcher since he mostly does kick/punt returns. He's cups his catches with his arms – that's why this was a drop. He's not a true WR, but more of a scatback. I'll re-watch the Mike White passes on YouTube. But Moore only messed up with the toe grab out of bounds from what I remember.
It was harder to not get 2 feet down in that out of bounds catch that not. It was beyond weird. He had 6 plus yards to get his foot down.
I just watched, the only catchable ball that Moore did NOT catch was the toe grab. the others were out of bounds or dirted. Watch the passes here:
To me, it looks like the 3rd down play to get the 1st down on the next to last play of the game went thru his hands. I’d be interested to see another angle.
The ball was quite low and quite a bit more than an inch from his chest, even after he went to the ground and turned his body 180 degrees around from where he was heading. He's always been pretty reliable; FoxSports.com says he's played 60 games, had 155 targets and has six drops. Yep, he should have made the play but you don't fire somebody for that. There were plenty of other chances that got away from the Jets today by both players and coaches. To point the finger at just one guy is way too simplistic.
He has good hands usually, this thread and your original post is an embarrassment of over reaction. Get over your damned self
Ty for this. Two things that stick out to me that I'm curious about (and neither have anything to do with Berrios or this thread) I really want to see the All-22 of this because how much room did he have to run? You gotta figure he could get at least 4 yards here right? Make 4th down manageable and allow for different route concepts at the 15ish or 4th and 5. The play after, if Duane Brown doesn't get beat like a drum on the top of the screen, does White have Moore on the crosser? Looks like EM has a step on the LB.
Cut Moore to for not getting both feet down.... LOL this thread is a bad look. He dropped the pass how about the fact we were in that position to begin with. That route should have been run by another receiver but passes will be dropped. This thread is just a bad look for fans
LaFleur will realize after film review today that he doesn’t have to get cute in the redzone like he did with Zach.. he finally has a competent QB. Live and learn. I Would be shocked if we see so much berrios in the redzone
He's more than a returner--he's probably our quickest slippery guy if we can get him the ball outside with a little blocking. What happened to the offensive play at the end of last year that were so successful for him?
This has been one of my biggest gripes with MLF. He does the same thing on third and short all the time. Just tell the other team "hey, this is gonna be a pass play". Smartest man in the room syndrome.
Berrios will be cut after the season. There is an out after the season otherwise they have to pay $8 Million + for a return man that is useless as a receiver. Not a chance --- Lets be honest, it wasn't just a bad game from Berrios, its been a bad season. I want to see Elijah Moore getting those slot looks more than Berrios. Moore woulda caught that pass and the Jets woulda won
