Stop comparing Randy Moss to Brandon Marshall. Randy Moss doesn't beat women, have a mile long rap sheet and hasn't already been suspended by the NFL. He's a bit more accomplished than this cunt too. The comparison is a fucking joke.
It's not a joke if you put it in context. Marshall's a bad dude, his history is awful, he's shit as a person - WE GET IT! It's a good comparison when you look at in the context of whether or not he will come here, take his contract, which will be loaded with good behavior clauses, and behave himself, and play good quality football for the Jets. The knock on Moss was that he wouldn't behave... but he has largely stayed in line in New England. The question for us is... would Marshall stay in line here? The fact is, this guy is going to be in the NFL no matter what. From a football perspective, I'd rather have this guy on the Jets than some other team.
I wonder how many of those here that are referring to specific problems with Marshall don't really think the Jets need to make ANY move at wideout. The problem is the team is backed into a corner. What other options are there, other than doing nothing? If you think doing nothing is an unattractive scenario, then you tend to hold your nose a bit more about this kind of thing than otherwise. The team's lack of action up until now in bolstering the receivers is what has put it in the current situation. Of course there is a price for past inaction. Taking a chance on Marshall is concededly a concern. But if the alternative is doing nothing, taking that chance looks better than otherwise.
Randy moss pushed a meter reader into an alley with his Rolls. She didn't think it was a fucking joke.
There's another rumor about a trade involving DEN, KC, and ARI involving Marshall, Boldin, and Leinart.
Marshall + Cotchery + Stuckey in the slot + Keller at TE and Clowney as a deep threat?!!?? That would be just awesome... no one could cover us. PS add Leon in the backfield
Probably not. He's probably not leading us to the playoffs in his rookie year either. He will struggle. What are the odds Rap Sheet makes it a year without going to prison and/or being suspended? That's basically a rental IMO. You get him for so long as he can keep his nose clean which so far hasn't been long at all. As I remember the story he stopped for her then let the car roll slowly until she stumbled away. Poor judgment yea - was it a one time thing - yea. Can abyzmul please repost the criminal record of rap sheet? Moss was mostly a risk of not playing hard then going to jail. Marshall is both + risk of suspension. Moss also had a lot more success in the league prior to that trade.
Just reported on 1050 ESPN Radio that the Jets are very interested in making a deal but refuse to make a trade involving a 1st round pick.
Just heard on the HERD that me are looking at the QB NE just released. Maybe me work out shopping KC to the Broncos in a trade package for BM.
This is all I care about. Don't trade that first rounder. I'm rather ambivalent about the Brandon Marshall trade, although I did already call dibs on his sig if he makes his way here .
No I hate this idea Marshall is someone who is a jerk both in football activities and non football activities. He beat up his girlfriend multiple times, and he only plays hard when he wants to. Please don't Stuckey has not proven to be an issue we are fine as is
Brandon Marshall would be the Jets equivalent of Brandon Jacobs-A monster who just wont go down without three guys tackling him. A young QB always does better when he has a safety net. Sanchez would salivate knowing that he can just put the ball up in a jump ball situation if he gets in trouble. He would impact positively on the entirety of our offense from the running to the passing game. The trouble is he will need to be re-signed to an extension for him to be happy and for this trade to make sense long term. If he gets the money and Leon doesnt what kind of message does that send to the rest of the team? That bad behavior will be rewarded?? I say get him if it we can get him for less than a first and no more than a second and fourth. Then sign Leon and make Marshall happy. Our offense will be set for years at the skill positions and actually scary. Our D and O lines will need upgrades soon but you can get a good guard in the third or fourth round.
Leon has an offer on the table that will pay him 5 million a season.......his money is there, but his agent won't let him take it for a reason unbeknownst to the rest of us.
It's not ALL you care about. ESPN reported earlier that Denver wants a player and a pick. So, which defensive player are you willing to give up along with that second?
