I think we're going into the season with the WR's we have on the roster. If you ask me this is a real screw up on the part of our FO/ CS. I mean we bring in a rookie QB to start and we don't even give him a top flight WR to open up our running game and take pressure off him? Not a good move. I mean don't get me wrong i'm not saying to get a head case like Marshall but i think we should have explored the possibility of a Edwards or Boldin. I know Boldin would be pricey but if we're looking to build a winning franchise we need to get some high powered guys in here to stretch the field.
We will be fine for weapons. Keller will be huge and they will use Leon more. Who are Baltimore's WR's? Giants? Bears? Dolphins? Titans? Those are all good teams with a similar m.o. as us. Run the ball, play good defense
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4459220&campaign=rss&source=NFLHeadlines Just goes to show what teams will do for a talent like that despite what type of person he may be off the field.
http://forums.denverbroncos.com/showthread.php?t=150050 no proof, may not be that credible but here is the news anyway on Marshall as it kinda ties in to the post just above.
Could be that any market they may have had dried up too. I mean, let's be honest, the guy's nose wasn't clean in the first place, and after this whole situation, teams may not want to take the risk.
I think our days are dwindling (and have dwindled) on Edwards, Boldin, and now, Marshall. The concept was a good one... to acquire a good, fast, physical WR for Sanchez in the offseason. I'm giving up hope that this will be accomplished and instead hoping now that guys like Stuckey and Clowney can step up. Hopefully, with Keller in the mix, we can put a passing game on the field that compliments our supposed running game. Time will tell... and time is running short...
ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports that ex-Broncos coach Mike Shanahan planned to release Brandon Marshall before Shanahan was fired this offseason. According to Mortensen, Shanahan believed that Marshall (who the led the NFL in drops in 2008) hurt the Broncos more than he helped them. Lucky for Marshall, he's getting a second chance new coach Josh McDaniels. He's slated to play extensively Sunday, and how he fares may dictate his role going forward.
I call bullshit. Posturing by the front office to try to placate Marshall now. "See, Brandon? This coaching staff loves you! It was the old coaching staff that hated you. You should want to play for McDaniels."
*MAJOR BUMP.* was thinking about making an appreciation thread( might still do it), checked the search for one in case somebody else did it, found this gem. …shall we continue or start anew?...
Brandon Marshall is the best receiver we've had since Al Toon .... the haters can go watch tapes of the Richie Kotite Jets instead if they want! BTW, the trade for Marshall might be the best trade in our history! We stole him from the Bears!
Since Keyshawn Johnson Jr. … "the haters can go …" Nice trade. Best trades: Jets traded QB Jerry Rhome and AFL draft selection to Houston Oilers for first-round selection (used on Joe Namath). And the trade with the Panthers to move up and draft Revis wasn't a bad one either.
Been a good trade. Other than the stupid lateral last week, which cost us, he's been a stud. May have to buy a 15 shirt.
Scumbag, already creating a rift in the locker room. What's the caphit if we cut him right now? http://www.newyorkjets.com/videos/v...-Success/2dd3893f-f5c8-4195-bf26-380ed23a2ec7
