When the price is reasonable any number of teams will jump on that bandwagon and let's face it, the Jets are probably the last team they want to deal with.
i like it. we are not gonna run the stupid wildcat anyway and clemens leaves after this season as it is.
Brandon Marshall = PSL sales. hopefully that is the thinking of the Front Office. and of course if we sign this guy people still aint buying the PSL's
It's real dangerous to be considering adding brandon marshall, it is even more dangerous to be trying to get him and giving him a new deal when we have a real devoted and great player in washington sitting there waiting for a new deal.
the only way they are buyin em is with winning. if marshall helps get us more wins and a postseason appearance then we sell them
This guy may be ultra-talented, but he's a criminal and one of the biggest prima donnas in the NFL. He handled himself like a little kid at Bronco's camp. It doesn't matter if he wants out or wants something done about his contract, there are better ways to make your point. I don't want this guy here..
Who cares what he did at Bronco's camp? Who cares if he is a criminal? If he brings wins then everybody is happy and Woody sells more PSLs. Woody is paying him, not us..even though it is our money he is paying him with. If it doesn't go to him it goes to some loser who doesn't bring wins. People get too uptight about who is here and who isn't. As Lombardi would say, winning is the only thing.
Id be surprised...Josh Mcdaniels is Bellichek's wannabe clone 2.0 He will not trade Marshall in the same conference. He'll try everything to get him to the NFC.
Yeah really. I can see Marshall exiting Denver, just not to the Jets. I'd still rather hold picks and get some depth next year. The guy can play, but if they end up giving away too much, which is what it will take to put him in the same conference, then it's not worth it. I just don't see it happening. I'm wrong more than enough so take that with a grain of salt, but I just don't see it happening.
There are problems with that attitude. 1) If we give something away for him and he goes to prison or gets suspended from the NFL it hurts the teams immediately and long term chances of winning a championship. 2) If you pay him close to $10 million a year it means you have to make sacrifices in other areas with the salary cap. We have Leon to pay, Mangold, D'Brick coming up, and Sheppard next season if we pay him. 3) If multiple picks or high pick and a player are given up you're further complicating the depth issue we have already at almost every position. So if you were to tell me it was only one pick and had a crystal ball telling me he wasn't going to jail or getting suspended for the next 4-5 years I'd probably be down.
But what if he helps bring us a Superbowl? Kinda like how Plaxico Burress helped bring one to the Giants. Then I really dont care.
In a sense if he gets traded, he views it as a win and he handled everything correctly, which automatically conditions him to continue his nonsense. He needs to sit for a year and have every one forget about him, before he even begins to get "it" You don't reward negative behaviour with a granted wish.
Do you honestly believe this team is a WR away from a superbowl? What would you bet your money on Brandon Marshall going to jail first, or the Jets w/Brandon Marshall going to the superbowl first? Obviously if he wins us a superbowl it would be worth it. That's also no where near a guarantee.
1 - it hurts Woody, not us. 2 - it hurts Woody, not us. 3 - it hurts Woody, not us. We take it all too seriously. We have absolutely no control over what they do. All we should ever care about is wins and that's the attitude I have decided to take. I'll never buy another season ticket so it won't be my money he is paying them with and I don't care who he brings in here. Just put together some group of malcontents that can play football.
