Amen man. I always rooted for the Giants even though as a kid the other kids that were Giants fans always talked shit to me. But Hey, we're both from NY right? I watched that SB with my Giant fan friends, was hype as hell for them and for beating the pats. Then next couple years these dicks just rag on me relentless trash talking the Jets. F that, after our division rivals I'll hate on the Giants now more than any other team. Their fans bring it on themselves.
Revis got burned for a TD by Wallace. I didn't see much else but Wallace had a good game. I don't know if Revis was exclusively covering him or not but he was on the touchdown play. Speaking of other ex Jet CBs, Cromartie didn't look bad at all on the Cards yesterday. Rivers was having a really tough time, as their D is STACKED. The Giants game was pure comedy. DRC got burned badly. It's one thing to get out muscled or out juked by Calvin, but he left him wide open on the one really long TD. I don't think the Giants will be this bad for the entire year. Eli will probably catch on later in the year. It's not going to click over night. The thing that really sucks for me is that I drafted Eli in the last round as my backup QB for Cam Newton thinking of his late season sleeper potential and didn't even think Newton would be out this early in the year. By the time I found out, all the 1:00 games were half over so I didn't have a choice. Boo that man! I did better with Romo in my other league with Cam out.

No shit. So I completely forgot about the draft for one of my leagues and the 'auto pick' feature did all my drafting. haha I came in 2nd out of 16 teams week one.
I'm very confident that the Jets will finish with a better record than the Giants, but having said that, let's give it a good chunk of the season before we start anointing ourselves as the kings of New York. And much more importantly, who gives a fuck about the Giants anyway? I want a better record than the Pats, not the Giants.
Completely agree. Was extremely happy for them when they beat the Pats the first time, but when the second one time came around, I found myself wanting them to win it less. After that win, I couldn't take the Giants fans anymore. Every fan base has them but I feel most of them are pricks for constantly talking down on the Jets like they're the bully in school or something. It makes no sense because they're always saying things like "Jets fans can't say anything...we're better...we got those two SB wins...we're the real team of NY...etc", meanwhile they're the ones talking all this crap. I strongly dislike the Giants, and root for them to lose now... all the time. I want their fans to shut up and watch their team fall to mediocrity. God that sounded so bitter of me.
Yea I've always been amicable with giants fans and gave them props for winning those 2 SBs but I can't help but finding some pleasure in watching them lose these past few years. Maybe it's just bitterness / jealousy that the jets have had teams with similar amounts of talent but were never able to break through to the super bowl when they had the chances. Just got tired of hearing about how great the giants are when I know they are not better than us. But fact are facts. Trophies are Trophies . Rings are Rings. We can all talk about how lucky they were in stumbling their way into 2 SB's but at the end of the day they have the rings and we don't. At least they took them away from Belichick and Brady.
lol, if you are bitter, than so am I. in terms of the bolded sentence, that is what drives me crazy with Giants fans and the general media. The team has been in mediocrity for some time already, but no one seems to acknowledge that. 1 playoff appearance in going on 6 seasons. And the playoff appearance was at 9-7, due to an utterly shite division. So in 6 seasons, they've had one very good, albeit very fortunate, post season run. maybe to some that washes away all the mediocrity, and i'd probably be ok with that as a fan as well. But to pretend they are a top team in this league, or some perennial contender, is just ridiculous to me.
Its the second VLT, completely pulled out of their ass, which really kills me. In fact, even a great Jet season culminating in a Super Bowl win, while the Giants wallow in the basement of the NFC, might not be enough to erase the "Giants good, Jets bad" mentality that the NY media & giant fans are stuck in.
This thread is just stupid. Who cares? How about the Jets get better than New England, Miami and Buffalo. Dont worry about the Giants, worry about the Packers, and then you wonder why Giants fans always rub their past titles in your faces.

Agreed. I also think calling out Giants fans is a bit ridiculous. You want to get on the media for pulling all Jets negatives and all Giants positives, thats one thing, since I do believe that happens. But if the Jets won 2 SB in the last 7 years, we'd be cocky towards the Giants fans as well. In general, fans are the same. Situations change, people dont.
This topic is trash and this is why the Jets fans get made fun of. If your expectation is to be the best team in NY, you will never win a Super Bowl. How about we become the best team in the league, that would surely be nice. Fuck the Giants, I wont even mention them, because I KNOW we are better. Just like how I wont be mentioning the Raiders or any other garbage team the rest of the season.
