I just gotta say, I'm really enjoying this draft process. I think the season will be a success, too.

excerpted from draft list at other thread:

    Round 23
    221. MSUJet85- CB Louis Wright
    222. JetGreen- P Shane Lechler
    223. ganooch- P Todd Sauerbrun
    224. Jonathan_Vilma- K Jeff Wilkins
    225. Cakes- LT Winston Hill
    226. 1028- CB Everson Walls
    227. kevin68- K David Akers
    228. Murrell2878- P Sean Landeta
    229. Wolfe Tone- P Sammy Baugh
    230. Wolfe Tone- DT Gene Lipscomb

    Round 24
    231. DonnieIsTheKing- OLB Jessie Armstead
    232. DonnieIsTheKing- P Darren Bennett
    233. Murrell2878- FB Lorenzo Neal
    234. kevin68- P Jeff Feagles
    235. Cakes- C Clyde "Bulldog" Turner

236, 237, 238, 239, and 240 can be made in any order. EDIT- Well, Jonathan_Vilma must pick prior to MSUJet85 because they both need punters.
Jonathan_Vilma needs to select a punter.
1028 needs to select an inside linebacker.
JetGreen needs to select a defensive end.
ganooch needs to select a quarterback.
MSUJet85 needs to select a kicker and a punter.

That's six picks to be made for five spots. The problem is MSUJet85 selected five defensive backs- three safeties and two cornerbacks.

I don't think MSUJet85 should or could give the Wright pick back. He made the pick and nobody said anything at the time and the draft continued. What's done is done.
The only CB selected after Wright was Everson Walls to 1028. We could assume 1028 wanted Walls anyway and wasn't going to go for Wright if he was available.
However, if MSUJet85 drafted a kicker or punter at 221, which he was supposed to have done, it could have had a domino effect on later picks. There are a bunch of kickers and punters that went after pick 221.

Let's suppose we do a 4-round coach/backup draft (one head coach, a kick returner, an offensive player at any position, and a defensive player at any position). Wright would count as MSUJet85's defensive player pick.

Well, he's going to use his 24th round pick on his first of two kick specialists.
Should he be required to use his 25th round pick on the other kick specialist?

I haven't figured out the most fair way to go about this yet, but that may be it because he's basically picked an extra player at this point.

Hopefully, we get the 24th round completed today. Then Memorial Day would be a nice break. Then on Tuesday we could begin the coach/backup draft.

My vote is for a four-round draft, like I mentioned above- a HC, a KR, an offensive player at a position of our choice, and a defensive player at a position of our choice.

^ Ouch. Good eyes. I guess the best way to deal with that situation is to go along and draft a few backups to smoothen out the discrepancy

Draft coaches? I thought we said we werent drafting coaches? As for PRs, what if we already have one we're satisified with? Id rather it just be a few wild card picks

But what would happen if you took someone like Sayers or Sanders and they return as it is? Do you still need a kick return specialist?

I'm all for NOT drafting coaches. I was just under the impression the majority of us wanted coaches, so I assumed it was a go.

But put me down for a no vote on coaches.

Most, or all, of us have players who returned kicks (even Walter Payton led the league once in kickoffs) and if people would rather not draft a kick returner, I wouldn't have an issue with that.

How about simply four wild card players- any position, so long as two played offense and two played defense? (That way somebody couldn't draft four running backs).

What about the 10 week season, will it just be players vs players but no schemes other than that I have no problem with the other picks being wild cards, but on your roster you still need someone who has played KR/PR, I guess if you have a guy that can go double duty than it frees up the pick

I think a 10 week season would be cool. Make a schedule and have everyone vote. I think it'd be even better if we did a full 16 week season and just voted for two days. That might take too long though.

maybe an 11 week would be cool, we could have rivals that we play twice, then playoffs

I think all you have to do is talk about your team to sell it to the voters, and from what I gather that will only happen once

This all sounds nice and I would love to join but it seems like I'm the party-pooper. I won't be there from the 6/6 to 6/13 and after 7/3 I won't be able to be here for a long time. So this could be difficult for me to keep this going.

Basically all you would need to do is send your team bio to one of us and then we cold post it in the matchup for games
