Kind of hard to take this too seriously when he is praising our backup tackles and calling a potential Brown signing a luxury. The reality is Brown could probably ask for an extra 500K.
Douglas to Saleh on sideline: Remember for the presser. Mekhi is good. He's stable. We're not even a little bit desperate to add a player.
looking at that video it looks like a problem before the injury. Which again makes me ask the question is Mechi trying to do too much and does he need to do less and take it easy more. Looking at his injury history it appears he would have benifited by going slower. He was injured mid season 2020 with the shoulder injury. He tried to play though it and kept aggravating the injury. The shoulder got injury got worse and it plagued him through the off-season. He was not medically cleared until spring 2021. He then immediately suffered the foot injury which he had until training camp. In camp then he sufferd the concussion which kept him out until game one. Then he immediately got hurt again. He is a big man who is young with amazing athletcism. He has likely relied on his athletcism all his life and avoided injury. He might bet better suited to take things slower and ease into things and not overdo it. Trying to play and practice through pain is admireable but he has been injured now for almost 2 straight years. Being patient is hard especially with all the hate and juveline attacks against him but he might be better served by going slower with more rest days.
They limited Becton Saturday night but its clear he has a long ways to go to get into game shape. Their were likely trying to get him there. With the massive humidity, he got hurt about 3 plays before he was going to start puking again.
