we said the same thing with pryor and revis and many others. this "set for 10 years" BS is never true. very rare do you draft a player, they turn out good, and they stay for a decade
Just to clear up some confusion, he is considered a FS. I mentioned before that Bowles' system doesn't really use traditional Strong and Free Safeties but if you had to put some labels, Mayes will be our FS and Adams will be our SS.

No, the definition of insanity is.. To continue to do the same things over and over again but still expect change. This team is going BPA, they clearly think the safety position was a big concern for this team, they've drafted top end safety talent on back to back picks, with the eye for the future. Your just mad they didn't take who you believe to be the best fit for us. Without even knowing who this kid is... That's just silly.
Mac isn't someone that is going to take young kids that have major off the field issues. It's not his M.O. Cool and Mixon were never an option. A lot of teams took both these players completely off their board. I'm willing to bet we are one of those teams.
We literally let up the most 20+ yard plays on defense by far in the NFL last year.... We address the issue and TGG loses its shit.... Makes sense....

If they took the top safety because they see a need they did not take the best player. This was a mistake.
