***Official 2017 Draft Thread***

Because we took arguably the best non-Myles-Garrett player in the draft, the best prospect at the position in 3-4 years, after having a bottom-5 player at that position starting there last year. (Yeah, Pryor was THAT bad).

All that said, let's not count our chickens. But I wouldn't be surprised at all. We can start with Perennial Pro-Bowler, and settle for a half-dozen All-Pro years

 

Hopefully Howard goes here. Olsen and Howard would be good for Cam

 

Yeah, he could be a huge bust but of course that's true for any player. But our secondary was SO bad last year and there was universal consensus that Adams was the best Safety on the board, Very deep draft for CB's so I don't think there will be a steep dropoff in Rd 2 and 3.

 

He's a more natural SS, but can play FS.

 

Me too .. I personally wanted the center fielder in Hooker over Pryor 2.0. the run stopper. I'm going to view his film and hopefully see more.

Nope. People will say Mac was lucky. Like when Williams fell to us. There are that group who will insist that the glass is always half empty.

 

No, he won't because of Adams. If the rumors are true about Howard's lack of love for the game and desire, he could turn out to be just a meh player or even a bust.

 

McCaffrey is going to be a complete stud. Offensive rookie of the year.

Just doing to say - he's an exponentially better tackler than Pryor. Pryor would lay people out and not wrap up which leads to him missing a bunch of tackles in the NFL level. Adams wraps up and suplexes dudes. As I've said other places - arguably the best tackler in the draft.

 

McCaffery is scary. Glad he's nowhere near the AFC East!

 

Go root for another team then. Adams was definitely the BPA at that point.

 

Watch his game against Ole Miss. He completely neutralized Engram.

 

i was worried it would be lattimore. the whole blitzing scheme needs cb thing was hanging around.

 

Perhaps that is the plan and hope Adams has the goods .. I need to go back and watch his film again as I didn't see FS.

 

4th best in the draft (garrett, fournette, allen) allen wasn't a need obviously and adams is good value at 6 but safety was the least o our concerns on the long list we have. i'd rather have the worst safety in the NFL then the worst QB and worst offense

Three straight decent first rounders.... first time in my sad Jets life. I remember when we drafted Brady.... took me a week to get over that shit.

 

So by adding arguably the first or second BEST player period, improving our D where we needed the most, we will allow more points scored . Come on now. This choice was a gift from the football Gods.
