Poor guy. http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/bears/post/_/id/4675509/a-timeline-of-marshall’s-off-field-problems If any player today did even a tenth of that stuff, they'd be blackballed from the league like Ray Rice. Instead, he's a millionaire many times over, and has a TV career to boot. I like what he's done on the field for the Jets, but that doesn't change that he spent the vast majority of his time in the NFL being the lowest pieve of human garbage you could be. Good thing he could get a shrink to tell him he was sick, pop some pills and absolve himself of any responsibility.
Here's a thought what would you expect from our offense ... at the end of the day they are playing against our elite D and we all know that DefenseWinsChampionships
I think your comment is ridiculous. Mental illness is a real struggle for so many people in the world and if he has truly turned the corner or has found a way to manage it, it should be celebrated. He has of course had his issues, but I don't ever recall him absolving himself. The guy also does all he an to support mental illness on a larger scale. When was the last time you peeled you ass off the couch and did something like that? Be critical of someone who deserves it because in your post, you just come off as being envious and whiny.
Apparently according to those posts Brandon Marshall, not only fucked their respective girlfriends, he took them to Sizzlers Steak House afterwards. Now that is shots fired. No one takes Abyz's girl to Sizzlers and gets away with it!
Dude did you look at that timeline? it was absolutely ridiculous. He punched out 3 different women (and one of them on numerous occasions), he drives drunk on the wrong side of the road that could've killed someone, he starts a fight that DOES kill someone, theft, lying to police on numerous occasions, etc. Now he's the hero voice of mental illness and Ray Rice is blacklisted for one night's actions. I'm glad he is good at catching footballs for my favorite team but that's just insane. and you finish your post with "Be critical of someone who deserves it"??????
I think there can be a middle ground of realizing Brandon Marshall was a monster (who should have gone to jail multiple times) but also appreciating that he's turned his life around and become an amazing advocate for mental health awareness. Doesn't have to be completely black and white. And yes, Ray Rice did deserve a second chance, but he's not good at football anymore so that won't happen.
I said he has done bad things. Terrible things obviously, but my point was that you can't keep knocking a guy for turning his life around. I mean I guess you can, but that is a different approach to life. I apologize I said you were being whiny, but for me I want to see a guy go from having a shitty life to a good life. Don't want to see him keep being a bad person. Same thing for Rice.
Aug. 28, 2009: Coach Josh McDaniels suspends Marshall for the remainder of the preseason for conduct detrimental to the team the day after he lost his cool at practice, punting away a football and batting down balls in frustration. He was reinstated on Sept. 6 No wonder they are making a stink about yesterday. To be honest, what's pretty remarkable nowadays in 2016 is that I literally can't envision Brandon doing ANY of this. Maybe it's because he's done a complete 180? But man, I can't look at him conducting interviews like yesterday on First Take and think "This was a guy with such a rap sheet".
Maybe Marshall was just trying to apply some pressure on Lachlan Edwards to see if he could still boom them in the clutch. Ever think about that? Of course you guys didn't, because you're such Negative Nancies. Sometimes I hate being a Jets fan.
You know, I'm genuinely curious about your view. Are you saying Marshall should get a pass for that laundry list of crap because he has mental illness?
