How? The Jets are in win now mood. Plus history says Fitz will get hurt.

Hope anyone who wanted to go to Training Camp got tickets already, as it appears they are all sold out. Terrible. Guess I will be missing Camp for the first time in awhile. I guess I will go to a couple preseason games, but still, this camp was handled terribly by management.

I forget who I was listening to over on ESPN radio, but they had the idea that Amaro might not even make the team; because he can't block. Personally I think this is a pretty damn far fetched thing to happen. He's only in what amounts to his 2nd season and his first with this regime. I know they don't have any draft loyalty to the guy but he hasn't even has a shot to prove himself. He did have the dropsies that first season, but that Rex coaching staff did very little actual coaching.

Willie Colon, I think, said the same thing on Jets Nation.
Amaro needs to adjust to what the NFL wants him to do or he'll be a goner.

It's pretty apparent that Amaro had maturity issues, and might not have wanted to change his role from what he did in college also. He knows now what he has to do. We'll see if he can do it or he's giving lip service.

If the Jets have a good football player at TE Chan Gailey would use him. Especially with the way the league has evolved. A good TE would be an immense help to our QB. We've had shit at the poition for a while now

Then you'd be sitting at home. He made the vet minimum last year I believe, and at this stage of his career, he isn't going to get any more.

Why? Because there is a need for a #2 CB, he's talented and fast. They're taking a close look at all of them. They like Skrine in the slot. If Milliner could fill the #2 CB spot, it would be huge. No, Marcus shouldn't be starting. That's what TC is for. They're taking a look at everyone and letting the players compete. I like Marcus a lot and would be happy if he wins the job, but I would also be very happy if Milliner or even Burris won it.

I was thinking of going today, but found out the same thing, and found something else to do.

    Sucks.

Not a cool way to treat loyal fans.

Guess I won't be buying any Jets merchandise today.

In the old days, we could just drive up to the field at the last minute at Hofstra.

What about Sudfeld, where does he stand?

I don't know. He's in the competition along with several other guys. Somebody's gotta emerge over Kellen Fucking Davis to catch a dam pass out of the position.
Hopefully Amaro, Sudfeld, or Saxton....can become a legitimate pass catching TE, and block somebody while they're at it. :)

Competent? That's beast mode. The question is can he control it under pressure, but so far he sounds like he has a superhuman leg.

You gotta agree though, anything is better than Quigley.

Every year there's 100 good college punters that never get a look and end up bagging groceries. How we ended up with Quigley is beyond belief. I guess that's one stone Macc never got to.

If anyone is like me, and sick of reading all of Cimini and Costello tweets, Connor Hughes and Daryl Slater are both guys to look at.

Dont have the clearly "website click" negativety that the other two have. Both pretty good reads.

Quig's had a good leg, and could punt directionally...in practice. And he was a good guy. That's why he was here for as long as he was.

They prolly should've cut bait last year instead of waiting on him obviously......maybe two years ago he should've been cut. There's only so many 'developmental' guys a team can survive at one time.

He couldn't do it in the games tho. He had just as big a part as anybody in missing the playoffs last year. There were plays all over the field all season that cost us do to a still shallow roster. Especially that early part of the season

Edwards has to do it in the games yet

You dont find and mold new and younger players by giving time to aging LBs who are pushing 40....hopefully that call never comes

Was there today. I printed out 4 tickets for my family but my mom couldn't make it, but it didn't matter because they didn't check or scan tickets or anything like that.
The storm dampered the day, but for the hour that they practiced outside, it was cool. Edwards is a good punter. Guy hit a bomb today. Lee IS FAST. and Revis did some individiual work. Forte didn't practice. I'll be back in 2 weeks.
