VCU ending was great, the 4 pt play to tie it into OT.

And wow Coastal Carolina is up 5 at half. Im tempted to go to bed but would be pissed if this 16 seed upset actually goes down.

the 4 pt play was a joke, terrible call but I'm glad SFA won.

I hate to see it but no one felt bad for Carolina w/ all the injuries 2 years ago so hopefully the Heels can take advantage and get back to the sweet 16.

Marcus Paige is just incredible in late game situations. the Heels have obviously had their share of great clutch players through the years but I can't think of one that has done it as consistently as Marcus.

Damn that really really sucks, feel bad for the students living on every moment.

We would have been Final Four bound in 2010 had Onuaku not gotten hurt in the Big East tourney. That was a good, gritty, athletic team. Hell, in 2012 we would have won the whole damn thing had Fab Melo not been suspended but that was our own doing. That was easily our best team since 2003 and the number 1 seed- a tremendous blow. But again, our fault. My older son was there for both of those years and he was crushed.

But it sucks losing guys to injury right at the beginning, I hate that. I want to see every team show the best that they have. If we lost Fair or Ennis right now, my younger guy would be devastated. That campus is living and breathing with these guys. The teacher let them watch Fridays game in class that's how nuts they are.

    yeah, they cost you 2 Nat'l titles:eek:

the coach who has 4 FFs and just 6 elite 8s in 40 years would have won you 2 more title s if those players didn't go down/get suspended.[IMG]

I am sure it would be devastating to the campus, how about the player and the team?

Anyone think Florida drops right here?

I think Pitt is going to win this.

You're a funny guy, in that ironic sense of the word.

it's more even than a typical 1/9 matchup because Pitt is a lot better than a typical 9 seed, like Kentucky is a lot better than a typical 8.

Florida favored by 5.5, Wichita State favored by 3.5 (like I said, they'd be a small favorite over Kentucky).

Both Pitt and Kentucky are better teams than UMass, for example.

How did he actually make money by nobody having a perfect bracket?

What actually happened was Quicken Loans traded 2 million in prize money (they say it's a check but they also say it's toward purchase/refinance of house) for a bunch of information and publicity.

Upon signing up, you had to fill out name, address, phone, and a few questions about whether you'll be buying houses or whatever.

    Bingo.

Buffet made out a ton on this. There are no reports of actual numbers, but give it time and there will be.

What a shame losing Georges Niang who was by far their leading scorer. Not only is that a lot of points to make up for, Niang was one of the best players in the Big 12 and his presence alone would've helped open it up for the undersized but tenatious local kid from Yonkers, Dustin Hogue to beast on the boards for the Cyclones.

And if the refs are going to allow a repeat of the other night when they allowed NC to push and shove Providence off the glass all night (40-26 edge, 21 offensive rebounds), then it's really going to be a tall order for ISU.

Iowa State a 1.5 point favorite.

Sagarin estimated 3, so the injury accounts for at least a point.
