We cannot shoot the basketball. Cooney hasn't hit a 3 it seems since like December, Fair has been long, Keita and Christmas can't even hit lay ups and forget trying to dunk the ball and Ennis has started to finally look like a rookie. Grant is the only guy making athletic moves to the hoop.

We'll be lucky to get a 2 seed.

The only watchable part of this game is Shannon Spake's fun bags.

Looked like his feet were set, tough call but I can't disagree.

Love my coach's reaction not taking it. That wouldn't even had been a foul in the old Big East.

That game was already over, don't care what Billis says, it was done.

Nove might be a early exit. Cuse is absolutely going to be an early exit. I hope they end up with a one seed so I can pick them to lose their second or third game in the Tourney.

SU played better last night but lost a close one to Duke. The flop at the end was just what junc was saying before the last game. Duke flops and get the calls. I actually like the JB ejection, His team has played like shit for 5 games, That little tirade made it about him, not them. Maybe a little less pressure will help get the guys back on track.

Yeah I'm not so sure on the call there, I'm almost never blaming refs for a call or calls during the game- sometimes we only see the calls that go against us but conveniently forget about the ones we got. Could have gone either way. Themselves the breaks. We're going to have to learn the ACC, the Big East would have let that go at the end of an epic matchup like that, let them play.

But after sleeping on it I'm not as bummed. We basically lost by 2 points (if you dismiss the foolishness at the end) and we simply shot miserably. We have a normal shooting game or even slightly below average and we're probably ok. That wasn't Duke's defense (well, other than on Cooney ) that was on our shooters. I don't understand how Christmas and Keita can miss so many put backs or shots right around the rim.

But I totally agree with you on Boeheim, that was almost scripted there at the end. He's putting it all on him and taking it off his players.

Boeheim did what he did because the refs took the game in their hands.

they no called fouls the whole fucking game and made a pivotal call at the end.

I'm not saying the call was right or wrong but you have to call the game consistently

both teams played/shot terribly. it wasn't a bad loss for Cuse IMO.

    Congrats to Duke.

I'm sorry but the refs didn't take the game out of their hands -- Boeheim did. If he didn't go apeshit on the sideline it would have been completely different. Duke got to shoot 6 FTs in the last few seconds of game. That was the difference. No technical fouls on Boeheim and they only shoot two and then see what happens the rest of the way.

Michigan St laid an egg today. They we're dominate in the 1H and then the turnovers piled on and that was it

I still hate blaming refs for anything and I truly hate whining about it, but that being said, I was really confused about how you call the charge on Fair at the end but a block on Gbinije. It was the same exact play, both defenders got to the spot, had feet planted, faced the defender outside the circle--literally the same play and they were called differently. I didn't mind the Gbinije call at the time even though it looked like a charge, or the call on Fair because it looked like a charge, but you have to be consistent at both ends of the floor.

But Boeheim's rant didn't lose that game, sure miracles happen but it was pretty much over with 10.4 left, down 2 and Duke shooting free throws.

A lot of "experts" don't think theyre in good shape. They are, they have three games left...vs. Depaul, vs. Xaiver, @ Marquette. Win 2 of 3, win a BE Tourney game, they're in. As it is, I think they'll win all three games and at least 2 BET games. If that happens, theyre easily in.

They def have the talent to be there...I think we are the best defensive team in the country in terms of FG% and points allowed

Quick comment on Saturday, I thought the call could have gone either way. It was really close, that wasn't a bad duke call. It probably was a block/no call but it was close, you guys will see the phantom ones like the time Shane Battier stuck his leg out and tripped Max Owens and it was a charge. Those will come- trust me.

as far as Boeheim, his actions were disgraceful and he cost his team the game. It is a possibility SU could have stole the ball(like they did vs. State) or after fouling duke missing 1 of the 2 shots, once he got the 2 Ts it was over.

We have some great SU fans and I am happy for you guys when they win but I can't stand Boeheim. That episode is exactly why his teams usually disappoint in March, if your HC can't keep his composure how can you expected 18-22 year olds to? That was an embarrassing display.

w/ all that said SU will be fine, the ACC reg season will come down to the game at UVa and at worst they will be a 2 seed for the ACC Tourney and in line for the #1 in the East of the NCAAs which is all that matters.

I have watched JB for a very long time and to me the first part of his reaction looked very genuine, that he stayed on the court after he put his coat back on looked more calculated. I said to my wife "why is he still on the court?". Jim really could care less about what people think of him. I think he was coaching, trying to get his team back on track after playing several bad games in a row. The streak was taking a toll on this team. I don't think JB was too worried about loosing that game but was more worried about getting them turned around. SU has Maryland up tonight and have to start playing better.

there are other ways to get your team playing better than humiliating the game.
