I like Creighton. I started watching college basketball this past week. It is better than the NBA because there are more than three teams that can win the championship.
I think this is good for the BE. A nice dislike is growing between the fans of the teams. Hopefully it carries over and can grow into a rivalry. Would be key for Nova and Creighton to meet in the BE tournament finals this year to create some more tension
No way. The best thing for the BE this season is for St. John's to win the BE tourney at the Garden. As it is, it doesn't look like the BE Tourney will held at the Garden any longer. This would be a nice last hurrah and would also ensure SJU would make the Tourney, which is also key for the BE.
It was on channel 10 on Optimum. The listed show says something else but I channel surfed til I found the game at 7pm.
Put me down for hating Creighton. Their fans are ok but the team just seems to play a little dirty to me. Kind of like John Stockton used to. I am also not impressed with their star.
It's moving from the Garden? Last I heard, which has been a while I guess, the Catholic schools that bought the Big East name bought the contract with the Garden? I haven't followed all the details for a while, so I might have missed something
I hear you SU played like shit. I'll give you the continuation but not the last TO, that looked clean to me. The State player was over matched and rushed the pass. There were plays that went both ways hell on one play the guy from state dove at Cooney's legs and they called it on Cooney.
That's what SU wants but the other teams are not so sure. The commish has talked about it but I got the impression the blue bloods want it to stay around tobacco road.
That's a while down the road, I think the BE has it for a bunch of years to come as well as the ACC has their near future sites already. There is also talk about Brooklyn, eventually I think the ACC will add the Garden to the rotation but it won't be for a while. you guys were in the double bonus early, they never got to the bonus and your players were hacking the heck of them(at least in the 2nd half, I didn't see the first half).. It was a home cookin' game w/o a doubt but that happens in most places for some stupid reason. It's one of the thing s that makes winning on the road more difficult.
Dang. Was originally scheduled for channel 12 on Optimum so I ended up channel surfing up not down  Was actually pretty seamless on line and was texting my son, it was literally real time with the game. _
McDermott is a great great player. I can't knock his talent. The flopping bothers me. I think he's the new Big East's version of Hansbrough. I don't think Creighton is dirty per se. I do think they get away with a ton of moving screens. Still a very good team and 'Nova didn't deserve to win either. But it's definitely a thing.
Ben Hansbrough? Creighton is dirty, watch what they did to Carolina 2 years robbing the Heels of a very attainable National Title and robbing the sports world of an incredible Carolina-Kentucky match up for the title.
Tyler. Best player in the league, great four year career, will get drafted in the teens and have a productive if not spectacular NBA career, but does enough things on the court that opposing fans hate them.
McDermott is a smoother player than Tyler. Tyler outworked his opponents and was great b/c of hustle. I never understood the Tyler hate, the guy got hit more than anyone(sometimes initiating contact of course), never complained and just went out and kept playing hard. He didn't showboat, he didn't show up opponents, he didn't cheap shot them when his team lost. Just a great college player and a solid NBA role player. I don't think McDermott is as Tyler as a college player but I think he can be a pretty good pro.
SJU easily beat Butler last night. Was down 3 at half, won by 25. On the down side, Obepka will be out for a bit with an ankle injury. SJU plays Nova on Saturday, with all of their tall guys he will be missed.
I really like kilpatrick from Cincinnati. He's a good ball player. He just became the second leading scorer all time in school history behind Oscar Robinson
