HOLY CRAP!! Geezuz this kid is good. I was fine with taking a loss there, top 25 team, away, without one of our centers--was the perfect loss that you could excuse. Wow. _
I wasn't really paying attention during that break so I was confused as to why there was a timeout called. Why did the coach call one? Giving Syracuse that extra time.. Foolish
I can't believe how well we've filled in for Michael Carter Williams leaving. Thought that was going to put a 2 year dagger in this team. _
precisely. there's no explanation for the call. the offense has the advantage after the timeout especially with the bonus. he cost Pitt the game.
Some of the mistakes these coaches make are mind boggling... In any sport for that matter. Unnecessary timeouts, not going for 2 in football, or just poor time management. We are just average fans and we notice it right away. These guys are PAID to be the HEAD COACHES and they make these novice mistakes... It's unbelievable really.
That drives me nuts... or at the very least you think there would be an assistant who is tasked with this. You can add coaches who don't foul up by 3 with under 5 seconds to play. Just dumb and poor coaching......
the announcers said Dixon wanted to see how Syracuse was set up but you never see the defense call timeout there, really. It's the offense that wants a timeout, and Syracuse was out of timeouts.
when you see shots like that fall you kind of getting the feeling it may be their year. big win against a team that matches up well w/ SU.
My son said there is considerable angst on campus that anyone could possibly compare Lebron's last second winner to the Ennis shot. It's not even close. 19 year old freshman with 4 seconds left from well beyond the arc to remain undefeated for the number 1 team in the nation? Or the GOAT with a leisurely 15 seconds left with toes on the arc in one of 80 ho-hum games. _
Syracuse-NC State pushed to 7:00 PM tonite. My son said it's been snowing up there for pretty much 36 straight hours. UNC pulling away from Pitt. UNC playing some very good ball right now. _
The end of the Memphis - UCONN games was one of the biggest rig jobs I've ever seen. Spread was -6.5 and they were up 7 with 9.1 seconds left. Ball was loose and clearly off of Memphis. They go to the monitor and it is still clearly off of Memphis. And the refs give it to Memphis who dunks it with 3.1 left to lose by 5. Unbelievable. Vegas had their hands in the end of that one
