an empty building w/ no atmosphere could certainly hurt them but in situations like these they will usually allow people in for free and the building should be able to fill up. It may not be students but it may be people who normally can't go to games who are really excited about it.

DAMMIT. Baye-Moussa Keita hurt and back in the locker room.

If he's really hurt, there goes any shot at a National Championship.

    Down TWO centers.

    Dammit.

SJU beat Creighton at MSG tonight. Huge win for them, they were totally out of it a month ago, but they've won 6 of 7 overall and probably on the back end of the bubble now.

Nice to see the New York team bounce back from their close loss at Crieghton. It looks like they're putting that bad Dec/Jan stretch behind them; Lavin did say in the midst of that losing streak that he thought the team's talent was going to emerge come February. Having said that and looking at the schedule, they have a couple of previously lost games at home the 2nd time around. If they win 6-of 7 which would put them at 21-10 going into the BE tourney or possibly 5 of 7 and make some hay in the tournament that could get them in especially considering they're winning games at the end of the season.

    @Seton Hall - W (16-9)
    Georgetown - W (17-9)
    Butler (bad) - W (18-9)
    @ Villanova - L (18-10)
    Xavier-need - W (19-10)
    DePaul - W (20-10)
@Marquette-? (if a win, 21-10; if not 20-11 not good enough....would need to win 3 tourney games and get to Big East final; lose to 'Nova leaving them at 23-12 which I think would get them in as an #11 seed.)

junc, MBParty, makes mention of a nice win by his (NY) team, St. John's.

On the other hand, North Carolina didn't even play yesterday and doesn't even play for several days until mid-week. Yet, like a child needing to "one-up" MBParty, you shill about NC-Duke referring to it as "the greatest rivalry in American sports" in an in-your-face, gloating manner for good measure if only to provoke an argument regarding that lame contention (you're so obvious) and then you go on to purposely spell Duke ('duke') in lower case lettering.

And you follow it up with what? A condescending "how many Big East teams are there?" pseudo-question. Pretty heavy-handed (and obviousl) even by your trolling standards.

No big deal, just pointing out what you did (intentionally) so as to underscore what an attention whore you are.

you really have issues, this is the college basketball forum. it is not just a continuation of the previous post. we post about our teams and CBB in general.

most Carolina fans spell duke as "dook", would that be better for you?

condescending? I was asking a real question, in the past they had 50 teams but I don't think they have as many so the tourney should be smaller and thus harder to win 3 games.

Thank you for being a big fan. I appreciate it.

are there any intelligent fans that would like to talk about college basketball rather than their infatuation w/ me?

Ah not seriously a real question. Unless "Google" and "CBSSportsline" and "ESPN" and "Wikipedia" are all down at the same time (while TGG is still up), you asked it in a condescending manner. Nothing wrong with busting balls amongst rival fans but let's be men here and admit what we're doing. Quite frankly, suggesting that was a real question is beneath us.

I have no idea how many teams are I'm the Big East or the ACC for that matter, but it's one click away.

I mean, if you really wanted to know.

Just seems like a smack at the ever-changing landscape of a conference in flux. Which is ok but we should all just admit it.

    Was a little condescending.

The dook stuff I could give a crap about.

You put that "question" out there in a manner that was anything but inquiring. Be man enough to own it, you condescending little prick.

the 2 dudes that have a huge crush on me whining about me again.

I remember when we used to discuss sports on this site but now we have little whiners who do nothing but follow posters around to annoy them. are there any intelligent ADULTS who would like to talk sports?

Who's whining about anything, was trying to cut you some slack for sounding like a dick.

Kind of funny when someone questions you you call it "whining". Most of the men here can handle it.

You we're being a dick, that's ok, that's what men do when they are busting other men's balls in a sports debate.

But I wasn't, I asked a question I didn't feel like looking up assuming someone knew right away. I was trying to figure out how many games they could play in the BET. It was a serious question, I'm not the easiest person to deal with at times but I wasn't do anything intentional to annoy anyone.

Then I apologize but if I was a lifelong ACC fan and the Big East went through the turmoil and turnover it had over the past decade and I was going to try to be a dick to a Big East fan, I'd ask something condescendingly like "how many teams are in the BE now?"

I take it you can understand how such a question, one so easily determined, could be construed as condescending, yes?
