The foul trouble was because JB had them attack the middle. Duke shot from outside and helped SU keep from foul trouble. I think JB did a pretty good job on strategy too.

As for Duke they are really good. 5 losses are hard to believe from what I saw. I like that they are 3 games back in the conference. We may very well need the cushion. We have ND and Pitt looming, Then we have to head to Duke.

Agree there, Boeheim coached a good game. Loved that stretch where they sent Grant to the rim possession after possession.

I do not feel good about going to Cameron. But I would not mind losing a game soon. Number 1 is fun and undefeated sounds great but I'd like to get a loss out of the way.

Btw my son said he had never been in an arena for a sporting event as loud as last night. Him and his friends were going crazy. In the IDK probably 75 games I've been to in the Dome I've never been to one that epic. As much as I dislike Vitale's schtick, he was spot on- that was the center of the college basketball universe last nite.

I think it would have been hard to imagine anything like your son experienced yesterday. The dome with 30K+ is a "bucket list" type experience. Everyone should have to experience it.

Congrats SU fans, great game. You got a little fortunate w/ some of the flopping that went your way but seeing that happened to duke is hilarious as that is how they have built their success so you out duked duke.

It was a great win-period. An epic game. Flopping had nothing to do with it. Calls go both ways in every game-even in that game. Folks ringing up missed calls for winning and losing is so silly.

you guys got very fortunate, the Parker 5th foul was a flop. should have been an and 1 instead their best player was gone, there were a few others but again these are calls duke usually gets so it was fun to see the looks on their faces when they didn't go their way. SU made plays and earned the win but they got fortunate.

Ridiculous. There were 10 calls either way that were off, but that's what happens in basketball- can't be avoided and has happened sine the peach basket. Folks looking at calls as a reason for a win or a loss or being fortunate is weak.

Can't stand folks complaining about refs or not calls getting or crappy calls or flopping, it's so childish.

But glad you enjoyed the game.

that is the reality whether you want to believe it or not. a terrible call like the one on Parker is a game changer. instead of going to the line to tie their best player is now out of the game and SU has it up 3 late. The best teams overcome it and I credit duke for overcoming. They are getting better and better and I am getting worried.

    Oh yeah reality.

But you're the guy complaining about UNC getting jobbed by refs so I get it.

    That guy.

I call it as I see it. sorry that bothers, a lot of stuff seems to bother you that shouldn't for some reason. You may want to get checked out.

Doesn't bother me in the least. Was a great game that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Probably lose to ND tonite and that wouldn't bother me either.

It's just funny when folks blame or credit refs for wins and loses. Kind of silly.

That's just the way I see it.

I am not blaming even in the Carolina games but I can discuss it. SU deserved to win, they made plays but they were fortunate. it's ok to be fortunate sometimes.

    Are they at ND?

Yup. I really wouldn't mind a loss tonite. Spend a week at No. 1 then drop back to 4-5 next week.

they have a tough sched coming up to end the reg season, they will lose at least 2 or 3 which isn't a big deal, they should still be in line for a 1 seed regardless.

I know they'll lose at least 2-3 but getting one out of the way now wouldn't bother me. Don't want to go to Duke undefeated. At Pitt looks tough too.

Should have moved up 10 spots. They are a top 10 team easy- although I'm not sure who you knock out. If we're number 1 or at a minimum a top 5 team and they played us as tough as they did in the Dome, they deserve to be ranked pretty high. I have no problem with them moving up as high as they did. They are really really good.

I don't want to see them in my bracket in the tourney.

5 of the top 12 lost.

Duke went to OT with the #2 ranked team at their venue and lost by 2.

    They deserved to move up.

    But fuck Duke.

Syracuse plays a limping ND team tonight.

This game has trap written all over it. Syracuse after an emotionally charged win, completely over looks ND and loses?

However, this team has a better makeup than past squads so I could see a blow out too.
